Blake hadn’t even said anything when she opened her eyes, her gaze fixing on the white hair... the blue eyes... Weiss? No. Her sister. Winter Schnee. Where was she? The faunus didn’t know and she sighed, closing her eyes as she tried to remember what happened.
Ah right. Atlas and its citizens, full of corrupted individuals and people who believed they were superior to everyone else, unafraid to spew hate and act upon it. Anyone who didn’t live up to their standards were second class. When she and her team and the rest of the ragtag band that was now Ozpin’s little group (or army, depending who was looking) made it to Atlas, Blake refused to hide who she was. Hiding her ears was something she stopped doing a long time ago, and she wasn’t going to start now.
She’d run into her fair share of discrimination across all continents, but it varied from place to place. Sometimes there was none at all, sometimes it was passive aggressive, but then there were places where it was outright blatant.
Blake had gone out to do... something she couldn’t remember what, with Yang insisting she didn’t go alone. Her team didn’t like her walking around the city alone because of how unafraid Atlesians were to verbally attack her in public, but she could take care of herself. She wasn’t a child.
And then she’d been followed and cornered by a bunch of stupid bigots. They’d been more violent than she assumed on first glance, and she regretted not using her semblance to get away when they first started tailing her.
“What, and have the Atlesian Police throw me in jail for something I didn’t do?” They’d clearly take their word over hers. She did feel bad for punching Weiss’ sister in the face though.
Her hand reached up to touch her own face gingerly, but even the light touch left it feeling sore. She tried to get up but her muscles screamed at her and she fell back with a quiet groan.
