Going to start posting some work from my longterm project, The Uncanny and Everyday Strange, my exploration into the weird stuff which seeps into daily life, heavily influenced by growing up in the 70s and 80s. To start with Testcard #F, that most ubiquitous of images. Any child growing up pre-multi channel TV Britain will understand the concept of sitting there staring at the creepy child and clown, waiting for something to happen…

I came across this fine specimen of a human being on the tube back to Brixton.  He was sporting a two piece suit made entirely of fabric printed in the 'Test Card F' TV holding page motif - who remembers that?  The creepy picture of the girl playing noughts & crosses with a toy clown.  Definitely something not to be forgotten, how the glory shall live on in suit form.
