they’re slightly off proportion-wise because I couldn’t put the holes in the tailpiece too much closer together, but I like them!
I’m using these tiles to test how many coats of underglaze it’ll take to hide the black clay
also here’s my desk rn lol

the good news is, the test tiles for my new glazes turned out stunning and i got 7 mugs glazed tonight
the bad news is my tire exploded right after i left the studio and got on the highway. we win some, we lose some.
Took 3 hours, but I managed to make and mix 20 different colors of porcelain for pride flag variations lol

Underglaze test tiles lined up and ready to be attached to my palette lids
These are believe it or not, glaze test tiles. Or I suppose, sculpture test tiles. A simple test of colours and clay bodies that I want to use in larger more complicated sculptures and which I want to see in a smaller form. These will head off to bisque for now.
NEW VIDEO: I have made SO many glaze test tiles, I had to come up with something to do with all of them. I don't have much wall space available in my house, but I do have plenty of fence space outside. This is a project that will continue to grow in time.
