Even though I testified to the Grand Jury in the #terrencesterling case to what I saw 6ft in front of me on 9/11/2016, the police officer still got off... SMH... If it was a regular person that had done that it would have been a different outcome. #livesmatter #dclivesmatter #dcpolice #crookedpolice #crookedpoliticians #sterling #blacklivesmatter #gethipp #bikelivesmatter #t #a #b #c #djdc #d

STOP WATCHING @NFL, GOING TO GAMES OR BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS!! #boycottnfl @Regrann from @markidawalkerforpgcounty - See what can happen when we begin to believe in our ability to effect change. I love football, been a fan since I was a kid watching it with my mom and dad. Even today I have family in or going to the league, but I can't stand by and allow my wants to overcome my morals, my entertainment to mislead my values and that's why I will not be watching NFL football games until @kaepernick7 Is back on the field and here's why. I truly believe that because @kaepernick7 is speaking up against police brutality and our corrupt injustice system that he's being made an example of and by being banned from playing football just because of his beliefs. I stand with @kaepernick7 because he stands for something other then himself. We're taught to be selfless and care for your fellow man, but when someone does they're punished and I'm sorry but I will not be a hypocrite just to watch a football game. Black people are being murdered in the streets, locked away for life, and ripped from their families and I'm suppose to ignore that and just watch a game like that's okay. Hey look do what you do, but if we as a society don't wake up and see what is being done to us; especially the black and brown communities, they'll just continue the cycle until there's a generation that will finally have the guts to say "No More!" We hold the power, we just have to use it to our benefit and not be manipulated. #boycottthenfl #boycottnfl #standforsomething #nfl #boycott #standup #blacklivesmatter #black #blackpeople #blackexcellence #power #money #sayhisname #terrencesterling - #regrann
RepostBy @balleralert: "Prosecutors Will Not File Charges Against D.C. Officer in the 2016 Fatal Shooting of Terrence Sterling -blogged by @msjennyb - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia announced that federal prosecutors will not file charges against the officer who shot and killed 31-year-old #TerrenceSterling, during a 2016 traffic stop. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 11, 2016, D.C. officer Brian Trainer spotted a motorcyclist, who was later identified as Sterling, driving “recklessly” on his way home from a bachelor party. As Sterling headed down New Jersey Ave, a Metropolitan Police cruiser pulled into the intersection, blocking the path of the motorcyclist to subsequently perform a traffic stop. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, as Trainer, who was a passenger in the police cruiser, attempted to get out of the car to make the stop, Sterling reportedly “revved his motorcycle and then accelerated” toward the police car. According to the U.S. attorney’s office, the officer then felt the motorcycle hit the car door and “reacted by immediately firing two rounds at Mr. Sterling through his front passenger window,” striking Sterling, who was unarmed, in his neck and side. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, nearly one year later, prosecutors have declined to file charges against Trainer, as they believe they don’t not have enough evidence to prosecute. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “After a careful, thorough, and independent review of the evidence, federal prosecutors have found insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer willfully used unreasonable force and/or was not acting in self-defense when he discharged his service weapon at Mr. Sterling,” the office of U.S. District Attorney Channing D. Phillips said in a statement. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although prosecutors will not file charges, the police department has asked Trainer to resign from his position, after four years on the force. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the meantime, the Sterling family’s attorney, Jason Downs, revealed that he was “outraged” by ......to read the rest log on to BallerAlert.com (clickable link on profile) #readmore #logon" (
