That had to be a joke, there was no way that Stan could possibly forget his own birthday. Right? As far as Kyle could recall he had always been invited to some kind of celebration ( when they were children it was birthday parties with all the other kids, and as they grew older somehow they ended up hanging together. watching movies, playing video games. sometimes with just a couple of close friends, but towards the end of the day it was just the two of them. stan & kyle, super best friends. ) but the more he thinks about it he realizes that there came a point when those silly paper birthday invitations stopped being sent out. It made sense. They were older. Kyle just knew to be there with Stan, to celebrate another year.

... Dude.

He doesn’t even look up, still writing the paper he’d been working on for the last two hours.

“What, Stan?”

Really, he had reacted on instinct more than anything else. The blond’s brain had only been able to comprehend two things: Stan and the very rapidly approaching car. So of course his hand shot out and snagged hold of the other boy by his coat, hauling him back and unintentionally into his arms in doing so.

He made a big mistake when he dropped face down on his bed because a couple of minutes later Stan was in his room, then Stan was on top of him. There’s a slight struggle as he tries to get Stan off but it’s not one he puts much effort into. His friend was seeking closeness and he was willing to give it.
