I felt like this had to be done in ms paint to be complete
“nice try, terezi, but you won’t get me this time!”
Terezi tilted her head as she heard a gust of wind settle beside her, only to be welcomed by the distinctive smell of John. He sounded confident.
She grinned, baring her sharp teeth. “JOHN!” She said cheerfully. “WH4T DO 1 OW3 TH3 PL34SUR3?”
John shook his head. “don’t play dumb.” He said, wagging a disproving finger. “you know what today is.”
Terezi scratched her head in an exaggerated manner. “WHY, JOHN, 1’M SUR3 1 DON’T KNOW WH4T YOU M34N!”
“April Fool’s Day!” John yelled. “The day you try to make my life a living hell.”
“OH, OF COURS3! MUST H4V3 SLIPP3D MY MIND.”
John placed his arms on his hips. “but i outsmarted you this time! no way you’ll get the drop on me this year.
Terezi leaned on her cane, not bothering to respond. John would keep talking regardless, probably.
She was right. “i hid away all my juice bottles so you couldn’t fill them with soper slime. i bought a new phone specifically because i knew you’d slobber over my old one. i even locked my house down completely so,” John grumbled. “so i wouldn’t find any troll babies crawling through my clothes.”
Terezi chuckled to herself. Wigglers in the closet. Classic.
“so that’s it, terezi. i won’t fall for your tricks anymore. you can’t hope to beat me at pranks. i am simply the best there is.”
Terezi considered this for a long time, stroking her chin in contemplation as a John stood triumphantly in front of her.
Then she wound back and punched John right in the stomach.
“hurk.”
John doubled over in pain, holding his gut as he groaned. Terezi cackled as she strolled away.
“4PR1L FOOL’S, DUMB4SS.”
