I understand but I also think that people might be noticing this because of the weird airing schedule? Steven U has some episodes that are total duds but it's also the show that gave us monster reunion and mr greg and mindful education which are all really really great imo. I think it still has redeeming qualities as a show.

im def not trying to say its a bad show!!! i love steven universe and it will always be my favorite cartoon!! what im saying is that as of late ive been disappointed with the direction that theyre taking because it feels more like theyre constantly trying to pander to the audience and its not what the show was originally intended to be like. 

but youre right, the airing schedule is all sorts of messed up and cn really needs to make it have a consistent schedule. the only reason i havent watched any of the recent episodes is bc it felt like too much to handle watching the show every day during the summer. 

basically im complaining about every post ive seen use the phrase “queer enough” - usually in “are ace people not queer enough for you?” or sometimes intracommunity contexts which is similarly annoying but less blatantly offensive (”are bi people not queer enough?” like what)

‘queer’ is a slur with awful meanings. yes it can be reclaimed, but i think reclaiming it in a “wow i’m upset people dont regard me as enough of a Queer!” context is at best naive and at worst downright insulting
