Name is in Mayan

Tepeu is the name of a sky god. He prefers to be called Faust outside of rituals, and by anyone who isn't of the legendary dog trio. He is Mayan... if that wasn't obvious already haha. He was regarded as a God, legendary dogs being demi-gods who worked under him. Even if he was a God, everyone knew he was below Arceus, the creator, but they worshiped him more often than Arceus. Kind of how some religions worship Jesus more often than God. When the wars between gijinka and humans broke out, Faust, Valtorez, and many other gijinka of the tribe were forced to counter attack. The tribes that worshiped them fought along side them, but when they realized they didn't stand a chance against the enemy humans, they joined forces with the Cathedrals. Faust was forced to skip training and do the trials to become a Guardian one after the other to grant him the power needed to survive and save his people. Sadly, they were all defeated. The wars left a very, very small number of humans (that were on his side) alive, and Faust was forced to send them away into hiding. He was able to hide the remaining gijinka in the Cathedrals. 

Faust is seen as a fallen God, and other Guardians have always given him great respect. Faust met Rem as he joined the Cathedrals, and she is the one who helped him trough them. They fell in love, and married during a small time of peace between the war (when his people were still with him). Faust's and Rem's marriage has declined greatly, but they still care for each other, and have stayed very loyal.  They do not fight or anything, they just no longer act love each other the way they did before. There is only platonic love between them, no more romance even tho they will sometimes try to return to that.

I do not have a full reference for Faust yet, but he does not stay in one outfit unlike everyone else. He actually has many, but this is the headdress he wears on a regular basis. Yeah... he carries that thing around. Not all the time, but he will be seen wearing it quite often. It's pretty heavy too. 

Faust is a great father figure to Valtorez, Zepher, Xepher and Zephar. ( WOW I SHOULD REALLY START USING THEIR FIRST NAMES. CONFUSING NAMES FOREVER )
