Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca. This small 'pueblo artesanal' is famous for its traditional wool weavers and beautiful dyes. We were lucky to be directed to "Casa Cruz" a well revered family business. With a history spanning back generations, they are notorious for their organic home made dyes and ability to create new colors and techniques. Fidel Cruz, an artist in his trade, weaves fine wool and silk, so soft to touch and beautiful to the light.  We were greeted by Maria Luisa, Fidel's wife. Maria showed us how they make some of the dyes; about the experimentation taken to achieve difficult colors and weave designs. I was in awe of their skills and love for their trade.
