Continuation of this chaos for ideas until I can manage to draw them specifically
Orange American shorthair- even if his hair isn’t really short— Leo! Very chaotic orange cat that will follow you around indefinitely and likes to sit on your stuff
Will fucking shed everywhere and also keeps trying to eat the other one’s food
Tuxedo cat — Oreo! He’s like a stretchy noodle and is the one who dislikes being held, a bit younger than the other one, and he tends to go back and forth while eating
He has his favorite seat in the house, he’s definitely more agile than the other one
Both are ‘bonded pairs’, like cats, they’re two humans that were raised together (not biologica) brothers at a ‘shelter’ of sorts, born after the invasion, and were originally bought to rid the house of ‘pests’, even if they’re not the best at their job, they’re loved by the family
Calico cat — Cookie! Started out a curios baby taken away from their ‘litter’ because of complications, and raised by another family, they have a more free living vibe, because their owner allows them to roam around the ‘yard’/area! Them and other ‘cats’ roam around the area pretty much freely
Gray short haired cat - Bandaid! Named that from how much they tended to cling to people in the past, latching onto the aliens while demanding attention- she got stuck under the house for a few days once, that wasn’t fun for her
Thin clingy little girl, she wants attention but will get pissy if given too much
(Thin) Orange shorthair - Lacie! Named that because some said they resembled ‘laces’ with how their ‘fur’ pattern is, they more stay on their own
Calico cat - Rosie! A very fluffy (mostly white but slightly spotted) calico cat who is kept in their own sort of porch part of the alien’s house, they shed so much but the aliens don’t just want to have to fret over the ‘fur’ everywhere! They keep it heated and have things in there for the human, but they usually don’t let her out, unlike all the other cats.
(???) gray tabby(??) - Jack! The oldest ‘cat’ in the household, grumpy and distrusting of pretty much any alien that isn’t ‘ma’, he’s older than all the other humans here, and doesn’t seem quite fond of any aliens that try to gain his favor.
All of these cats live in the same household and are mostly ‘free roaming’ on the property, aside from Rosie— the aliens don’t want to have to clean up her massive shedding :/
Cookie is the youngest of them all, the rest of them around here are older, she isn’t that young, but is younger compared to some of these older ones!
Since at this point in time we don’t know how long the aliens have been here.. I’ll assume that Jack is probably like the only one that avidly remembers the ‘old days’.. but he somewhat tolerated his life here
Shshjs yes these are all based off of cats I very much love, and I’m just writing this down so I don’t forget
I should probably also talk about the ones that aren’t based off of irl cats lol
