Kahlendra Wolfkin, all DOLLed up
Yes, I did it. Just as I created a Barbie version of my Guild Wars 1 character, I did it again for Guild Wars 2.
I can't make cosplay to save my life for a variety of reasons: I can't sew, I don't have the time/energy/money/resources to create a real-life version of in-game attire (I also don't have the body), and I don't have anywhere safe to keep it.
So I did the next best thing. I transformed a doll into my Guild Wars 2 main character, norn ranger Kahlendra Wolfkin! Bonus: This doll is 18" tall, so she's to scale (bigger/taller than a Barbie doll, which I made for Guild Wars 1).
I love the norn Wolfborn armor, and the first short bow I obtained in the game that I absolutely loved was Stardust (Kahlendra is a condition ranger, so short bows are what she uses), so I brought both of those to life. I also even included a pet wolf for Kahlendra's loyal companion, Eclipse.

As you can see, this doll is taller than a Barbie, and I wanted it that way so that she’d be to scale as a norn. In truth, the Kahlendra doll is a customizable Tonner doll. The doll has velcro on her head to allow for hair/wig removal, and I didn’t repaint her at all (no way was I going to mess up a $150 doll with my lousy artistic skills!). Yep, got them both proudly displayed in cases. The Guild Wars 1 Barbie is my ranger, Tender Wolf, wielding her loved Urgoz’s Longbow and wearing her elite druid armor, plus she has her pet white wolf, Howl, by her side.
Bonus: Here’s my Guild Wars collection! Thanks to the collector’s edition of GW2, I got the Rytlock statue, and I also won the plush charr from a guild competition. :)

Got my character all ready for the holidays! I caved and bought a Wintersday bow, as well as a new backpack and some festive dyes.
And of course, her pet arctic wolf and mini snowman!
Don’t mess with her! She has a large candy cane and knows how to use it!

Happy Halloween from Kahlendra Wolfkin! She changed her costume up from a black cat to a witch. Oh, and a frog... shouldn’t have drank from the cauldron! And of course, we have her feline familiar, spider longbow, and pet spider to complete the look.
