Gameplay: Session 3.
THINGS OF IMPORT FROM MARCH 14TH SESSION New ship! (Lenneth X Andrew) New character! (Jett Roan) Continued Alliance! (Jon Bell) FIRST MAJOR BATTLE (No casualties, one major injury.) Domina Grace: I struggle in the arms of the person grabbing me and bite his hand, managing to scream once. "LET ME GO!" I yell incredibly loudly, stomping backwards at their feet. Jett Roan: I wince as a heel connects with my shin and spin the girl around to face me, holding a finger over my lips. "Do you WANT to let them know where we are?!" I whisper angrily, feeling my face grow hot and my eyes begin to change. "There are patrols in the forest, you almost ran right into one of them!" I say once more, ducking behind a tree as I hear rustling in the bushes. Jon: Once I returned from my clan with the news, I found that not only was the group gone but the dull thud of army shoes was closer than ever. I had been given one other condition from the clan leader about this deal, but it did no good to tell it to the tree I had found them all upon. So, tracking the group by their footprints, I set off by treetops. "LET ME GO!" As I heard that shout, I skidded to a stop. It sounded remarkably like Domina, aka the one I was in a group with to begin with. I moved towards the direction of the voice and came upon another person, talking in a hushed and concerned tone. Seeing no cuts or bruises on Domina, I stayed in the treetops until I could figure out who this guy was and what was going on. Laura Blackwater: I hear Domina's scream and turn quickly to see what's the problem and why she was blowing her cover; Running slightly to try and help, but instead deciding to stop and just wait to see how this turns out for a second, and as nothing happens I step in to punch the male in the cheek. "Let go of the girlie, Brute." Lenneth Salvatore: In a tree I look though my sniper,"Hm, this could be interesting" I said out loud softly. I lowered my gun, but still kept an eye on the commotion. Andrew Dracula: I look behind me and notices all the people who were following me to the army patrols were gone "h-hello? G-guys? G-girls? ...." I then begin to feel abandoned "I knew it...I-it was all too good to be true..." Domina Grace: "Thanks, Laura!" I chime softly. I glance around the area and see everyone gathered. Something like a sixth sense tells me Jon is around here too. Only one missing was... "Oh my god! Andrew!" I whisper in horror, realizing he was still out there alone. I turn and make eye contact with Laura, jerking my head in the direction Andrew had been seen last. "Follow me. You too, Len!" I call slightly louder, spotting the tip of her cloak hanging out of a tree. I take off down the path at a breakneck pace, hoping that at least someone had followed me, and that fangboy was all right. Jett Roan: I curse under my breath and rub my jaw where the girl had hit me. I was more than slightly surprised when the dark red haired one ran off. I slip to my feet and follow her through the trees; curious as to whom this 'Andrew' was... Jon: As Domina ran off with the others, I noticed the stranger followed them with vigor. Not wanting to chance another kidnapping of sorts, I leaped down from my branch and ran after the odd man, soon matching his pace. "I have no earthly idea who you are," I said "but I've struck a deal with the woman you tried to capture. If you could explain your actions, it would put my mind and theirs at ease." Laura Blackwater: I follow the girlie, looking back and noticing two shadows behind us, my eyes failing to adjust so I can see the shadows clearer. I squint and stare at the shadows but after a couple of seconds give up and walk after the girlie, looking bad seeing the two shadows blending into one, I give up and leave the area quicker. Lenneth Salvatore: "He's not too far," I said seeing within a couple of yards. I couldn't help but blame myself a bit. I went to a post and let him walk off, I-I'm sorry. "Just a little more," I continued as I leapt gently through the trees. Andrew Dracula: I am sitting down against a nearby tree at the time...feeling alone and deserted, hating my daywalker heritage; I then hear voices calling for my name "huh? ....I-is it them? ....nah...why would they look for me..." (I pull my hoodies hood over my head hiding most of my face. Domina Grace: "ANDREW!" I call once more, looking desperately for the daywalker and not caring if I got caught. "ANDREW!" I yell, my throat feeling hoarse. I finally find him, tripping on him as I spun around the corner by using the tree he had been sitting under. I land in the dirt, nearly landing on his lap. At this point, I can help but laugh as I struggle once more to my feet. "There you are, Fangboy. I was getting worried." I say softly, sitting in the dust and smiling at him. Jett Roan: I look at the younger man running beside and raise one eyebrow. "Capture her? Please, I was trying to keep the idiot from getting captured by a patrol. Rather bang up job I did of it..." I say ruefully, gesturing one hand to the girl who was now screaming the name Andrew. "She... She kinda reminds me of someone I used to know." I add. Jon: I couldn't help but chuckle. "My dear boy, that what was the deal was about!" I exclaimed "That girl, myself and 3 others intend to engage that patrol in combat. From what I have gathered, we are more than fully prepared, having not only the girl's leadership, but a civilized daywalker-that's this Andrew person we're looking for-a sniper, another girl who scares me more than the daywalker quite honestly-" he paused to point at himself "a Whisperer who knows the land better than anyone, and a girl who would literally give her life to this battle, via explosion" I finished (note: I had to leave before you sent Charlotte back to the caste) "And don't think we aren't armed to the teeth." I demonstrated my point by unsheathing my sword and pulling my handgun out of its hiding place before putting them both back in their original positions. "Now I'm curious though, who is this girl you speak of?" Laura Blackwater: "Oi Daywalker, don't walk off like that. You have to be alert to your surroundings." I quickly move and threaten him slightly with my knife. "Or you'll be killed before you know it, and that's my job, thank you." I offer my hand to the girlie and stare at the daywalker; he deserved none of my sympathy. Lenneth Salvatore: "I am glad to see you're uninjured," I smiled slightly somewhat holding back tears. "I was worried, please don't walk off without saying anything," I scolded, "It's dangerous to go off alone, having a team member MIA puts us all in danger," I continued as I rubbed his hair. Andrew Dracula: I continue staring at the ground, some tears trickle down my face I then turn to face Laura and remark "You make soo many death threats to me...how about you live up to your threats! Huh!? Why don't you kill me now!?" I go back to facing the floor, drenched in my tears "who was I kidding...daywalkers, vampires...they're always alone...." Domina Grace: I give Laura a 'we'll talk about this later.' look and turn back to Andrew as I slowly and rather painfully shifting off of my tailbone to sit on my knees before grabbing his shoulders and turning him to face me. "Don't you dare talk like that." I say calmly, putting my hand under his chin to lift his face so we were making eye contact. "You are one of us now. Some people," I shoot a look at Laura, "just need time to get to know you. You're our friend, and you have somewhere to belong now. You will NEVER be alone again." I add somewhat fiercely, closing my eyes to hide the tears attempting to break though, smiling hugely at him. Jett Roan: "She was an old... friend. She died a while back, killed by a patrol. I couldn't do anything to save her." I angrily wipe the tears from my eyes and run faster ahead, nearly crashing into a young woman with dark brown hair. "You punched me!" I announce bluntly, glaring at her and crossing my arms. Jon: I stopped as the young man crashed into Laura. Hearing his words, I couldn't help but think she might have been more than a friend with how terrified he was of the patrol, but I kept that to myself. "She was just one person. We've got 6. Not exactly a numerical advantage, but I think we'll do fine." Assessing the situation as quickly as I could, I approached Andrew as cautiously as I could. "Are you alright friend?" I asked, the words feeling weird as they came off my tongue, because A) I had known this guy for less than a day and B) Civilized or not, he was still a daywalker, a fact of which I was wary of still. Laura Blackwater: "Andrew. Why don't you grow a pair and prove me wrong? Why don't you? Prove that you're not just a daywalker that wants my or the little princess' blood! Then I'll stop with the threats!" I got closer and closer to the bloodsucker, probably too close but in my rage I didn't care. "If you don't like something, change it." I backed off and opened my bag up and remove my top layers of clothes till I was relatively streamlined, and placed all my clothes in my bag and threw them into a tree, marking it with a large cross with one of my knives. "So, if you don't mind me, I'm ready to change things." Lenneth Salvatore: I shot a loud boom into the air with my sniper, "I've had enough God Dammit!" I screamed. "If you two just want to kill each other than why don't you both drop dead!" I couldn't hold back anymore, "We're not each other's enemies! But neither of you can get that through you thick skulls! Have your sins and pains really tainted your souls this much!" tears started to stream down my face, "I can stand for this anymore! Hating each other will get us nowhere!" Andrew Dracula: I slowly get up and first hug Domina, who's kind heart was always welcome to accept me...I then stop hugging her then slowly get up and walk over to Lenneth, and wipe away some of her tears "please don't dry...I'm d-deeply sorry for all this hatred caused....I wish it didn't have to happen...p-please do not cry..." I proceed to hug Lenneth. Domina Grace: I struggle to my feet, looking into the trees. "Hey, guys...? We might have a bit of trouble..." I mutter, carefully reaching behind me to grab my bow as a large patrol steps out of the trees. "EVERYONE SCATTER!" I screech, dodging behind a tree. "Find a position and attack, thin their forces!" I add, slipping from behind my tree out into the open and loosing three arrows in a split second before sliding back behind the tree, hearing the three arrows hit home as men scream in pain. I grin, my bloodlust coming to the surface once more. Jett Roan: The emotional events unfolding before me were rather confusing. From what I could gather, there was a vampire daywalker with abandonment issues, a psychotic girl who had a wicked punch who wanted to kill the daywalker, the one I had tried to save was the leader, and the one with the sniper was emotional. I'm saved from my confusion by a group of soldiers entering the small clearing. The leader screams something then takes out three of the soldiers with a trained ease. Nice. I run past the younger man I had been running with and allow my anger to make my talons grow. I snarl and launch myself into the crowd, knowing they couldn't shoot at me without hitting each other. Of course, that didn't stop the one I attacked first from shooting me in the thigh. Jon: I turn towards Laura. Fear or not, I was starting to enter a rare emotional state: rage. "Listen, I don't know about you, but I can practically see the eyeballs of these troops. Either clench your teeth and work with Andrew or die here by a no name army guy's gun. Speaking of..." I withdrew my sword and decided to focus this rage onto the task at hand, though I couldn't help but feel a touch cocky when I saw the older gentleman attack the troops alongside us. Darting from side to side, I began hacking at the front line troops, feeling an odd sense of satisfaction when I heard their dying screams at my blade. Laura Blackwater: "Oh I can work with him, whisperer boy." I mutter, moving just faster than the soldiers, grabbing them and slitting their throats, the power it gave me. Made me feel... feel so alive. The rage at Andrew made me move faster than normal, even with my increased speed, cutting them, killing them faster than normal. Lenneth Salvatore: I found a perch a few yards away and shot whatever soldiers came in my sights. This was a feeling nothing new. Just breathe and squeeze the trigger. A very hollow thing. I can't stop because of my heightened emotional state. I shouldn't have spoken out of turn anyway; it was rude and unbecoming of me. But never the less, breathe and squeeze on. Andrew Dracula: caring deeply for everyone's safety, and hoping no-one suffers, two large wings emerge from my back. I turn to face a group of charging soldiers, I smirk and remark "tonight gentlemen, is not your night!" I arm my hidden wrist blades and take flight, charging at the group, stabbing some expertly in the heart...and even draining a few of them of their blood Domina Grace: I step from behind the tree once more, seeing my companions now mixed in with the battle. I had good aim, but not that good. I drop my bow and launch myself into the fray, pulling out my knives as I run. I hear a gunshot and a yell of pain, and look over to see the one from the forest being shot in the thigh. I run forwards, yelling and jamming my knives into the soldier who had shot him's neck, slamming my arm down and effectively ripping out his throat. A quick glance around tells me my comrades are all right, and I turn back to the young man on the ground. "You all right?" I ask. Jett Roan: Blood splatters across my face as the girl slashes the soldier's throat. "You all right?" She asks. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm Jett, by the way." I reply through gritted teeth, struggling to my feet. I see another soldier standing behind the girl as she observes her friends. "LOOK OUT!" I yell, shoving her out of the way and throwing myself at the man, digging my claws into his chest and ripping out his heart, killing him instantly. Jon: I've managed to clear out a little spot for myself among the carnage, thus giving me a decent view for myself. Nearby, I see Domina help the apparently mutated man up after a bullet got him. 'I'm in good company at least' I thought, remembering my own mutation. Knowing that a lot of soldiers wouldn't come near me at this point, I decided now would be a good time to bring out some fire power. I withdrew my pistol from its hiding spot and began firing at anyone I thought was too close to Domina and our new friend while they returned to the field of battle. Laura Blackwater: My hands were becoming soaked in blood, my knife becoming hard to hold, I kept slicing and cutting. More blood and more blood, I was starting to feel ill slightly there was so much. I started becoming lazy, trying not to look not being careful at all. Lenneth Salvatore: This platoon was bigger than I originally thought. One after the other almost, though none of them have noticed me. Or well until it was too late. I fill almost sorry for them; they really don't have much of a chance. It's getting almost....Boring Andrew Dracula: as I take out more soldiers I glance back and notice a soldier sneaking behind Lenneth undetected, he had a gun precisely pointed at her, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" I fly straight into the solder plunging my fangs into his neck, draining his blood and preventing him from harming Lenneth. Domina Grace: I spin around as Andrew yells, turning to see Lenneth in danger. "LEN!" I yell in terror, the euphoria from battle fading in an instant. The worry fades as Andrew drains the man and saves her. I turn and look around, seeing the battlefield in full for the first time. By the looks of it, the one Andrew killed had been the last. The battle was over. Jett Roan: I flop to the ground and lay there on my back, staring blankly at the sky. I never took pleasure in killing... But to protect these people.... Part of me did. I smirk and chuckle at myself. "What have I gotten myself into..." I mutter. Lenneth Salvatore: I turn around in surprise,"H-how did I let someone sneak up in me," I sighed, "I let my guard down, I'm sorry for the trouble Andrew. Thank you though," I said standing and hanging my head slightly. Andrew Dracula: I walk up to Len and then hug her "it's not your fault...these soldiers learn...but so do we, and so will you...." I hug her only slightly tighter "I-I was worried that you were g-going to die...I-I-I didn't want that to happen" I was then unknowingly crying into her shoulder. Jon: The numbers of the opposition were thinning to a point where I could just dash up to them and expertly slice their jugulars without much resistance. In a brief lull period, I noticed our sniper (Len?) was having a slight breakdown, and if the corpse beneath her was any indication, it was obvious why. Andrew was already up there, comforting her with tears in his eyes, so I made no attempt to follow suit. 'Besides,' I thought 'if I didn't know any better I'd say they were an item or something.' My thoughts then proceeded to spiral out of control, as it often did during downtime 'What would the children look like if a daywalker wed to a human I wonder? Would they be half daywalker or full on? And if so would the child eat the mother-or father I suppose in some cases-on account of it not knowing any better?' Endless scenarios flew through my head, but at the end of them all I came to the same conclusion: 'I like it.' I then proceeded to go back to picking off the stragglers. Domina Grace: The battlefield was empty now. Andrew was comforting Len, I knew I didn't have to worry about them. They could keep an eye on each other, and besides... It was kinda cute. Jon was taking out anyone who had survived, 'I really should thank him for that later...' I think to myself. I look to the ground beside me to find Jett lying there laughing quietly, covered in blood. A slight look at my own clothing tells me I look no better than him and a sudden wave of nausea hits me as I see one of my own knives protruding from my stomach. "Lying down is a good idea..." I mumble to Jett, feeling myself begin to fall backwards. The last thing I hear is a shout of terror from Jett, and then everything goes black... TO BE CONTINUED
Gameplay: Session 2
THINGS OF IMPORT FROM MARCH 11th'S SESSION New Alliance with the Whisperer's! Domina Grace: "Agh! I hate sleeping in!" I mumble through a wad of stale bread, pulling my hair back in a ponytail as I run towards the old oak, the meeting place I had assigned. Len and Andrew were off gathering supplies, so it was up to me to pick up the new recruits. I slide to a stop in front of the tree, cracking my neck and munching on the bread as I waited for the two girls to arrive. Laura Blackwalker: "Hello Girlie" I talk down to the girl at the bottom of the oak tree, slipping down the tree quickly slumping next to the girl. "You seem a bit distracted. Got any food? I've been starving lately." I ran my hair threw my short hair and pulled my hood down to see the girl easier. Charlotte Johnson: Rustling through the bushes, afraid to step up, I stare at them. No living creature should be trusted so I decide to stay put. "What if..." I tremble. Domina Grace: I toss the new arrival the remainder of my bread as I stare eagerly at the slight movements in the brush. "Helloooo!" I call, slowly stepping to my feet. "I assume you're the other girl I'm waiting for?" I say, smiling reassuringly at the bushes, and distinctly hoping it wasn't just a rabbit of some kind. Laura Blackwalker: "Oh thanks!" Taking a large bite of the bread, I squint at the bushes the girl called at. "Girlie, it's probably just a rabbit, and probably a good rabbit" I drift off thinking of the thought of warm meat cooked over a camp fire. Charlotte Johnson: I flinch and remain silent, then I finally decide to come out. "Y-yes.. ma'am." They don't seem bad but I will keep my guard up. Andrew Dracula: I run to Domina with news about the supply gathering "Domina...bad news...gathering supplies isn't goin to be a simple task...army patrols...a lot of them..." My eyes move over to Charlotte and Laura "well, hello. Who might we have here?" Domina Grace: I curse under my breath, rubbing my eyes. "Right, we'll have to do something about that. Do you remember where you found them? We can take these two with us... By the way, what are your names?" I ask sheepishly, berating myself for not asking sooner. Laura Blackwalker: "Laura Blackwalker, Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, Girlie. Now dude, who the hell are you?" Pulling my hood up and raising myself to full height. Andrew Dracula: I then introduce myself to the others...but back away in fear slightly as I'm worried how they'd react to my daywalker/vampire heritage "I-I'm Andrew Dracula....a daywalker....tryin my best to help you lot...p-please don't hurt me...I mean you no harm..." I turn to Domina and tell her some more info "although gathering supplies was a huge problem...me and Lenneth were able to being back more food supplies...and I was able to recover all my Daywalker gear...I can finally utilise my full abilities" Jon: On sentry duty, I look at the scene that unfolds before me. A daywalker is among the group, but none of them pose any immediate threat to the Whisperers clan. I keep my hand on the handle of my sword though, just in case. Domina Grace: I can't shake the feeling that someone might be watching us... I shake my head as the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. "Right, that'll be helpful..." I say to Andrew. I turn back to the girls. "Andrew's one of us, he's okay. Now, Laura, Charlotte.... You up for a little adventure?" I ask with a grin, my red and sliver eyes flashing. Laura Blackwalker: A horrible feeling appears in my gut. "Did I just hear right? He's a bloody daywalker and he's one of you! This is not right, we're their food!" My face went bright red and I stepped away from the group scared for my life. "I'll help you with your food collection, but he stays away from me!" Charlotte Johnson: I stare at them either confused or shocked, maybe both. "He..with..hum" It's too much to process so I look at the ground with my eyes wide open and take a deep breath. "So..Andrew.. You're not gonna hurt..." I can't seem to end it so I just look right at him. Andrew Dracula: I look at the confused and scared Charlotte "I can control my urges...I have learnt to live off of your human foods....I promise that I'll be of no harm to anyone here...I j-just wish to be accepted...I've been alone because o-of my heritage...ju-just please accept me" A tear rolls down my eye as I beg for acceptance, in fear of re-living my lonely childhood Domina Grace: I take a step forward, placing a hand on Andrew's shoulder. "You have been accepted, Fangboy! You're one of us now." I give him a quick hug before turning back to the rest of the group. "First time I met this guy, he ripped off the head of demon and sucked it dry, practically saving my life. He's one of us, and he stays one of us." I say with a grin, unable to stay serious for even a second. "Now we really should get going... Everyone follow Andrew, he'll lead us to the army patrols. I'd say it's time to thin the heard a bit, wouldn't you all agree?" I add with a wink. Jon: My first impression of this group is that they're a little off kilter. The apparent (and rather short) leader of the group doesn't seem to take anything particularly seriously, as evidenced by the fact she just hugged a bloodthirsty beast. Speaking of, the daywalker himself seems rather civilized, if a touch shy. He'd fit right in with the whisperers if everyone could get past the fact he'd probably eaten a few of their relatives for breakfast. The two girls were a bit of a blank slate at the moment, but they seemed to have the right idea-being scared out of their wits by a daywalker is something any sane human being, mutated or not, would be. They're arguing though, so perhaps they'll break apart before they even get close to Whisperers territory. 'Well, closer than they are right now' I though. Laura Blackwalker: "Well Let's get this over with then" I put my hand out to shake Andrew's hand but pull him close and whisper " I don't trust you daywalker, but this little girl does. Don't give me a reason to try and kill you." I laugh slightly and pull away and pull my knives out ready for the attack that'll probably occur soon. Charlotte Johnson: I look at Laura and can't help but think she might be scarier than Andrew. I sigh as I guardedly approach him and give him two light pats on the head. " ..There there. I guess you're okay since you put up with having a funny nickname." I turn to Domina and pull up my sweater showing grenades firmly attached to my stomach with bandages. "I tend to avoid conflict but I have these.. And I don't mind being used as bait.." Andrew Dracula: I smile at Charlotte and Domina as they have kindly accepted me...but give a small nod to Laura who still severely doubts me "okay then, I'll lead you lot to the army patrols." I then ready my assassin-style hidden wrist blades "let's go thin out some army units." Jon: 'Oh the perks of being a sentry' I thought as I saw the grenades on one girl's stomach and the knives of another. I had already seen one of their aces in the hole and another's primary weapon. I still didn't have much to go off of on the leader, other than the fact she was immune and a little loony. The girl with the knives scares me though, a bit more than the daywalker (Andy? Andrew? Andre?). I overhear them talking about an army patrol they intend to fight. 'Good,' I thought 'I get a little free ammunition and food for the clan, and all I have to do is follow these guys'. I watch as the daywalker unsheathes his wrist blades (another weapon, I thought to myself) and watch as the march off, getting ready to follow. 'Best be careful,' I thought 'the short one has been a bit on edge. I wonder if she senses my presence...' Domina Grace: I smile at the not-so-merry band before me, and can't help but chuckle a bit. We were a ragtag bunch, mostly without a leader, but we'd be fine. I still can't shake the feeling someone's watching us though, and there is something familiar about this place.... And then it hits me. I gesture to Andrew, calling him closer. As soon as he's within earshot I whisper; "Keep an eye out... We're being watched. There's an outpost of the Whisperers here, I had almost forgotten about them... The patrols are deeper into their territory, so we might end up in some trouble. Keep an eye on Charlotte, she might need more than those grenades if we end up in a scuffle with both sides here..." I take a step back once more, turning back to the group. "Be careful, there's some-" I break off and spin around, whipping the bow off of my back and setting an arrow loose in the direction of one tree in particular, finally placing where the sentry had been. accidental early post Jon: My eyes went wide as I was forced to blow my cover in order to avoid an arrow to the sternum. I stood before the rag tag group in broad daylight and immediately drew my sword from its sheath. "Listen," I began "It is clear that you mean no harm to my clan, so allow me to cut you a deal. You intend to attack an army patrol, yes? I will fight alongside you for this one battle if you allow me to take some of the rations back to my clan. If you do not agree with this deal, then you leave me no choice but to engage in combat." Laura Blackwalker: "Oh a Whisperer, and quite a strong one. I'd be glad to fight with you, if Domina lets you. We'll need everyone for this, even that bloodsucker." I shot a dirty look at the Daywalker. I walk to the small girl Charlotte and go to her eyelevel. "Be careful Princess, especially with those dangerous weapons of yours." I get up and click my bones ready to go. "We going to go get these guys?" Charlotte Johnson: I'm confused again and a bit startled, I hug my stomach with my head lowered. I don't trust them, not completely, but I will go with whatever they decide. "hum... If things get hard.. I don't mind..getting blown up.. If any of you thinks it's necessary." Andrew Dracula: I give an odd glare to the whisperer who presented himself, then begin to ask some Domina a question "hey Domina? You're an ex-whisperer...what exactly are these guys like?" I then turn to the whisperer and ask him a question "you want rations in payment for assisting us...how much of the rations do you want!? This is a vital question!" Jon: While I found it odd the daywalker of all of them was considering my offer, I knew I couldn't be picky. Considering the knife girl seemed poised to attack at any moment, I kept my guard up. "A valid question daywalker," I started "In exchange for my services, I shall hope for no more than 2 loafs of bread and 2 canteens worth of water. You may negotiate these terms to which you see fit." My ears picked up the daywalker saying something about the short one being a former whisperer, and I couldn't help but notice she DID look familiar. Domina Grace: I stand up straight, making myself as tall as possible. "One! No one is getting blown up; you'll be safe here with us Char..." I say softly, giving her head a gentle pat. "Two! We will team up this once, but on one condition. You let us pass through your lands as often as we need to, until we're ready to move on to another area." I add, daring the Whisperer to argue. I lean in towards Andrew, whispering softly; "They're quiet, but they all carry a commanding aura. By the looks of it, he's higher ranked then I was. He seems reasonable enough, and look at the way he holds himself. He's light enough on his feet that it would be seriously hard to take him down. Better we team up..." I nod quickly to the Whisperer. "We agree." Laura Blackwalker: "Princess, I'll save you before you even have to consider that." I smile at the Charlotte, I did always love children. "Okay Whisper man, Girlie. We ready to go. I'm itching for some conflict." Charlotte Johnson: I pull my beanie and smile, crazy people is what they are. Though I'm not sure what to think of the Whisperer sir, I don't like him. I'd blow him up, if I could. Andrew Dracula: although I barley trust the whisper, I had no choice but to work with him "very well then...'cus Domina said yes, it appears we're allies, for now" I then start thinking again "what exactly is our plan for this army-troop attack?" Jon: I lower my blade as they all seem to fall in line with the former Whisperer's decision. "Very good" I stated "I shall inform my brethren to not raise a finger against-" I stop midsentence as I notice another figure emerge from behind the others. "Dare I ask who is this newcomer?" I inquire, wary of another presence. Lenneth Salvatore: "Hm? You're quite good," I replied as I stepped out from the shadows. Domina Grace: "Len!" I call, relieved. "Fangboy told us about the military patrols. Aaand now it turns out we're in Whisperer territory. But, you would know that, eh? Little miss ex-Whisperer." I grin and give her a wink. "Len, this is Charlotte, and this is Laura." I say, gesturing to the black haired girl and the brunette in turn. "And this," I add; "Is.... Hang on, what is your name?" I ask in utter confusion, staring at the Whisperer. I lean in towards Laura. "Pay attention to Len, see if you can spot what her weapon is..." I say, testing the older woman. Laura Blackwalker: "Is that a challenge Girlie?" I ask the younger woman, analysing Len, noticing she isn't immune to the radiation so I assume she's mutated. "Oh this shall be fun girlie." Charlotte Johnson: "She really likes nicknames, huh?" I smile at Lenneth. Andrew Dracula: I smile as I see Lenneth "great to see you again Len" I say as I have unknowingly hugged her. Lenneth Salvatore: "Good to be back," I said to Andrew, "It is nice to meet you two as well," I said with a slight smile Jon: The group's interactions puzzle me a bit, but..."Since you have acted with no hostility towards this newcomer, I shall assume she is trustworthy." I say, fully sheathing my sword now. "My name is Jon. I will not ask you for names, as throughout the course of these negotiations I have heard them- Domina, Laura, Char, Len and...Was it Andre or Andrew?" I ask sheepishly, slightly embarrassed I forgot a name. Domina Grace: I wink at Charlotte, giving her a manic grin. "It's a hobby. And so is killing things! So can we go kill things please? And his name is Andrew." I pause before I start walking, turning once more to smile at the bunch. "Now can we kill things?" I ask slightly desperately. Laura Blackwalker: "I agree with Girlie." fiddling with my knife itching for the approaching fight and hoping for the food we would be fighting for. "Can we go? Food and water sound really really nice at this moment in time!" Charlotte Johnson: "You're both unbelievable." I mumble, hoping their excitement won't end up getting them hurt. Andrew Dracula: "hang on...there are quite a lot of soldiers out there...I suggest we get into pairs to help even out the troops numbers at different points...and since we're an even number, that shouldn't be difficult...but deciding who should be with who...that's the tough part..." I explain Lenneth Salvatore: "Hm, Andrew has a point, but if we spilt with two new members...Things could get complicated quickly," I explained voicing my concern. "Also, we shouldn't just jump into fights, it can cause unnecessary incidents," Jon: "we're all in agreement then?" I began "Good. I'll tell the others not to raise a finger against you in exchange for the provisions agreed upon earlier. Now then, shall we?" Domina Grace: "Sounds good to me!" I say brightly. "Now, Andrew's idea was nearly perfect, but Len has a point. I think we should split into group of three. Laura and Andrew with Charlotte, with Andrew taking the lead for their team would work, I think... And that leaves me with Jon and Len! Any objections?" I ask, not wanting to fully take command. Laura Blackwalker: "Sounds good to me personally." I say trying to hide my distrust of the daywalker leading our group but I bite my tongue and carry on. Charlotte Johnson: Since I can't do much in fights I should only do as I'm told, and Domina really seems like a leader so I simply reply "No ma'am." Domina Grace: I nod my approval of Len's decision, and how keenly she picked up on my reasoning. If we were all to survive, we needed Andrew and Laura to start getting along and keeping them away from each other isn't going to do that. "Right. Len is right, but I'm starting the think we should send Char back to wait at the castle until after this is over. We can bring her back a few proper weapons." I say pensively, thinking hard. "That leaves Laura and Andrew alone... Len, would you mind teaming up with them? I and Jon should be able to manage on our own." Laura Blackwalker: "That's a good idea. We don't want the little princess to get blown up!" horrified at the thought. "Those teams sound good to me" Andrew Dracula: "Okay...." I agree but am still cautious mainly of Laura who I then begin to think wants me dead. Lenneth Salvatore: "I'm up for it, though I'm not sure if I'll be a good baby-sitter or not," I said jokingly. Domina Grace: "I'm sure you'll do fine, Len" I say with a wink. I glance around and notice Jon is gone and shake my head slightly. He probably went to warn the clan not to attack us... "Let's get going. You take the lead, Andrew. When we get closer to the patrols we'll split up, and I'll attack them from the trees for a while. Len, as soon as we get close, find a place to camp out and snipe so you can cover us, all right? And Laura... Kill as many as you can." I say with a vindictive grin. Laura Blackwalker: "Oh I can certainly do that girlie." I reply with a vicious smile and a murderous glint in my eye. "If needed I'll draw them away if it gets too many." I hinted at my 'ability' although in all fairness it hadn't been much of an advantageous one. Andrew Dracula: "o-okay then...f-follow me you lot...the army patrols are this way" I nervously lead my companions/allies to the army patrols...but still fear that no one besides Domina trusts me. Lenneth Salvatore: "Seems like I am indeed in good company," I said with a smile. "Let us go, there are many things to kill before sundown," I added following behind Andrew. Domina Grace: I drop slightly behind Andrew and the rest, thinking. Maybe this battle isn't the best idea... Someone could get hurt. But then again, that was a fact of life. And we do need these supplies... I steel myself and listen closely, hearing the loud sounds of boots in the distance. I nod quickly to Len as I dodge into the bushes on the right, pulling up the scarf tucked under my hoodie up to cover my nose, hating the toxic smell that followed these soldiers around. Doubts still nag at the back of my mind about whether I'm doing the right thing, but I brush them away. Suddenly a strong pair of arms grabs me from behind, covering up my mouth to stop my scream. *TO BE CONTINUED*
Gameplay: Session 1
THINGS OF IMPORT FROM MARCH 11th'S SESSION New clan! (The Survivors) New Hideout! (Castle) Domina Grace: Dark woods, eerie calls, a loud scream in the distance... Kind of a normal night. I lean back and crack my neck, looking down from my place in the trees, my bow clutched in one hand, an arrow in the other. I know I'm barely a silhouette in the dark, but I can't help but be nervous as I wait for the other members I had been waiting for to show up...
Lenneth Salvatore: "I've arrived" I called out in a quiet voice as I landed next to Domina. The wind blew my dress slightly and I pulled my scarf up around head.
Andrew Dracula: "I'm here as well" I call as I scurry across the path towards the two which I would call "companions" for now.
Domina Grace: I nod slightly to the two now on either side of me. "Good. It appears we have some time to kill... Down there, on the left. Ragnar demon... They're notoriously violent. You guys up for a fight?" I ask, a cruel grin spreading across my face.
Lenneth Salvatore: "It seems quite unnecessary," I replied, "But if you feel like it, then do as you please." I sat down in a more comfortable position, keeping an eye out for any suspicious movement
Andrew Dracula: "I would...but I had to leave all my weapons behind to outrun some army patrols..." I reply as I stretch out my arms and crick my neck "Fighting those things bare fist with my daywalker powers'd be tough...not impossible, but extremely tough...do any of you at least have a knife I can use?" I question my two companions.
Domina Grace: "Yeah, here." I say, tossing him a longer curved blade. "I have my other knives to work with, and this bow isn't just for decoration." I say with a wink, taking far too much pleasure in the prospect of the approaching fight. "Here we go..." I whisper, taking a huge breath and launching myself out of the tree, landing in front of the big grey thing which spins to face me with a growl. I snarl back at it.
Lenneth Salvatore: "Careful now," I told them, "You two getting pricked by those spines won't be very pleasant," I put my hood back down and began playing with my hair.
Andrew Dracula: I turn my head to face Lenneth and tell her "I can easily avoid the spines...but can the Ragnar avoid me? That's the real question". I bound form the tree and masterfully land on its back plunging the knife into its back. The beast wails out angrily and tries to swipe me off.
Domina Grace: I laugh giddily at Andrew's sudden movement, throwing myself forward instantly to assist him. I pull a dagger from each sleeve as I roll beneath the beast, slashing the backs of his knees and rolling away before he has time to recover. "WATCH YOURSELF ON THE LEFT!" I scream to Andrew, "The spines are poisoned!"
Lenneth Salvatore: I sighed as I pulled out my sniper and cocked it. I proceeded to aim it and shot out the beast left hind leg, giving Andrew time to move and make his attack.
Andrew Dracula: I run and nod at Lenneth as a sign of gratitude for the assistance, I then lunge at the beat slashing off its poisonous spines then remarking to myself and the beast "I haven't tasted your kind's blood in a while..." My vampire/daywalker fans begin to show. "Maybe today'll be the day I truly feast!" (I lunge at the beast and sink my fans into its neck, draining its blood for my appetite.
Domina Grace: I stand back, whistling. "Hey, Len? Remind me never to piss off Andrew, 'kay?" I call up the tree, wiping the knives off with a black cloth from my pocket. I tuck them back into the sheathes around my lower arms. "We should probably find a place to spend the night... It doesn't look like anyone else is showing up tonight.
Lenneth Salvatore: "How disappointing, I was hoping not to waste a bullet on something so lowly," I said with a sigh. "Though, where should we stay? They might come early tomorrow. So we shouldn't go too far," I added as I strapped my sniper back onto my back.
Andrew Dracula: I retract my fangs and finish off the beasts blood, then turn to face my companions "I know a castle near this place" I remark to them, "It used to be a hotel-ish tourist spot, but since the war, it's been completely empty and practically forgotten" I explain to the other tow as the finish packing their weapons away "We could head there."
Domina Grace: I shrug. "Sounds good to me... What do you think, Len?" I ask, scaling the tree once more to grab my backpack, slinging it quickly around my shoulders.
Lenneth Salvatore: "Sounds like a good plan to me," I said with a smile. "If it's a castle and pretty tall, I can probably see a pretty good bit of the area.
Andrew Dracula: "Indeed it is tall. I would know as the castle was run by my family...until their death due to our vampire heritage...but it has perfect areas for sniping" I tell Len as I hand Domina her curved blade back. "It's a short walk from here, and I can lead you to it, if you wish."
Domina Grace: I grab the blade and nod my thanks to him, sliding it back into a sheathe in my boot. "That would be great. We can wait out the rest of the night there, and I'll head back here in the morning to wait for anyone else. We should figure out a better plan tomorrow night, figure out who's in control of getting supplies and everything.... And we need a leader." I say, shaking my head and rubbing my temples, attempting not to think about anything too much. "But we can think about that tomorrow. Lead the way, fangboy." I say, sweeping a hand in front of me and gesturing for Andrew to take the lead.
Lenneth Salvatore: "Fangboy" I repeated giggling, some reason I found this amusing. "Yes, do lead the way 'Fangboy'"
Andrew Dracula: My expression turns to a mild scowl when I was referred to as "fangboy" but it turned to a smile considering these two humans were willing to accept my daywalker vampire being. "Okay then. This way" I remark as I lead the two skilled humans towards the castle.
Domina Grace: I smile at Len as we walk, leaning over to chat a bit. "I think I recognize you from somewhere... OH! Those colors, too! You're a Whisperer like me, right?!" I say, grinning hugely at her.
Lenneth Salvatore: "Ah, yes. I am,"' Domina's sudden noticing of us being in the same clan took me aback some. "I figured you'd already assume as much," I replied.
Andrew Dracula: I overhear the two talking happily about being from the same clan Etc. and began to feel left out as I was never in a clan..."Sounds like you two are getting along very well" I remarked as I had my head down a little bit in depression.
Domina Grace: I grin as I have a sudden idea. "Hey guys.... Want to make our own clan?! I mean, we're going to be spending enough time together so why not!" I stop in the middle of the trail and beam at my companions, feeling rather happy about my idea.
Lenneth Salvatore: "It seems like quite the interesting proposition," I said, intrigued. "Though three people is quite a small clan, wouldn't you say?"
Andrew Dracula: "True, our size is small...but that's not the main problem...the main problem is a clan name...I mean, it's two humans and a daywalker...what exactly are we going to call our clan?" I question Domina as I continue leading the way to the castle
Domina Grace: "It won't be small forever! We'll be getting more fugitives daily, and I'm sure some of them would love to have a new clan!" I say, growing steadily more excited. "As for a name, how about the Night Angels? Or maybe the Rebels?" I ask, looking for more suggestions.
Lenneth Salvatore: "I like Trouble, mostly want we are and what we cause," I suggested "Short, sweet and to the point," I said with a smile as I also began to grow excited about the idea of a new clan
Andrew Dracula: "I have a better idea....how about 'the survivors'?" I question. I then begin to explain my idea for the name "It's short, simple, to the point and after all, we're stuck in a war trying our best to survive."
Domina Grace: "Trouble sounds really great, but I love 'The Survivors'! I really does sum up this whole thing!" I say, trying desperately not to bounce in place out of pure excitement. I start walking again to expend some more energy, waiting for Len to cast her vote.
Lenneth Salvatore: I sighed, "Seems I'm out voted. Ah democracy, how I've missed your bitter-sweetness," I said as we continued to walk keeping a smile on my face, "Yes, 'The Survivors'. It does have a nice ring to it.
Andrew Dracula: i turn to face Len "It's up to you...I'm merely suggesting...oh by the way, we're here" I say as we're all standing at the large front doors of the castle.
Domina Grace: I grin at Len, recognizing her sarcasm. "The Survivors it is!" I say, unable to stop myself from bouncing in place at least once in pure excitement. I look up at the large doors in front of me, feeling hopeful for the first time in years. ~End~
