its freezing cold oh my god.
the worst thing about spring is that its mind numbingly cold in the mornings and nights, but it's warm enough throughout the day that you regret dressing for the cold
INTERACTIVE EFFECT OF PH AND TEMPERATURE ON GROWTH AND BIOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS IN T. aestivum and T. durum VARIETIES | PLANT CELL BIOTECHNOLOGY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY.
Extreme temperature and pH have a negative impact on wheat productivity. In addition, the interaction of temperature and pH has a significant impact on plant growth and development. Seven days old wheat varieties of Triticum aestivum (HI1418, HI1500, HI1531, HI1544, HI1563, HD2932) and Triticum durum (HD4672, HI8381, HI8498, HI8627, HI8663, HI8737) were assessed for nine various pH (4.0, 5.0, 6.0) and temperature (10°, 20°, 30°C) combinations in this study. In a static hydroponic setting, seedlings were supplied with one-fourth strength hoag land nutrient solution. The effect of temperature on fresh tissue weight, length, and chlorophyll concentration was more pronounced. At 20°C and 30°C, the weight, length, and chlorophyll content of new shoot tissue increased for all T. aestivum and T. durum types. Both species' root weight and length were only slightly altered. The effect of pH on NR activity, protein, and proline content could be seen. At pH 6, NR activity declined as temperature increased, whereas at pH 4 and 5, activity increased up to 20°C in T. aestivum and T. durum types. Except for HI1544, protein content in T. aestivum shoot tissue was high at pH 4 temperature 10°C, but in root tissue it was pH 5 temperature 20°C. T. durum, on the other hand, had a high protein concentration at pH 6 and a temperature of 20°C. At 10°C, both species had high proline content, which declined as temperature increased, with the exception of HI1544, HI1563, and HD2932 at pH4. T. durum had high protein and low proline content when compared to T. aestivum. Furthermore, HD 4672, HI 8498, and HI 8737 cultivars had low proline and high protein content at pH 5, suggesting that they might be grown on non-arable land.

SEASONAL DENSITY OF ANOPHELES CULICIFACIES AND AN. SUBPICTUS (DIPTERA: CULICIDAE) IN RELATION TO CERTAIN ABIOTIC FACTORS | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
From January to December 1990, researchers studied the seasonal density of Anopheles culicifacies and Anopheles subpictus in eight villages in the Sahaspur area of the Doon Valley, finding a single peak of high prevalence in July to September. During the study period, Anopheline man-hour densities ranged from 0.84 to 28.1. The largest density of larvae was seen in August 1990, and monthly fluctuations in larval density were recorded. Mosquito densities were affected by low rainfall, drought, and the right temperature. It was also discovered that settlements located along the river's edge are more susceptible to malaria because of the high mosquitogenic circumstances. SHORT TERM EFFECT OF OSMOLYTE CONCENTRATION AND TEMPERATURE ON SURVIVABILITY OF FREE LIVING NEMATODE Acrobelus SPECIES | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of osmolytes on the viability and dormancy of Acrobelus nematode free living. To check dormancy and viability, a high-temperature (50 ° C) assay was performed. When juveniles were subjected to high-temperature assays, an extreme decrease in viability was observed, whereas non-desiccated juveniles died during short exposure to high temperatures. The mortality rate of desiccated nematodes was slow using the high-temperature assay, reflecting an improved ability to withstand high-temperature conditions. Maximum dormancy has been observed at high osmolyte concentrations (60 percent). When nematodes were exposed to two different temperatures, variable recovery times were noted. The low concentration of glycerol at low temperatures results in less time to recover. Please see the link :- https://mbimph.com/index.php/UPJOZ/article/view/1627

On the news, it said the temperature was 11°C but it feels like 6°C. How does this work?

Are there shower things that let you set a custom temperature for the water, rather than using those circular thingies that you turn?
Are there shower things that let you set a custom temperature for the water, rather than using those circular thingies that you turn?
I was wondering if those exist, because it seems so weird that we still have showers where moving the knob-thing even a little bit has a huge effect on the temperature of the water.
It seems like it would be a pretty easy, technologically feasible solution nowadays to instead have a touchscreen panel where you can just set a custom temperature for the water instead.
