Christianity Is Not A Religion)
TO THE BIBLE: Romans 8:15 NKJV âFor you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, âAbba, Father.â
LETâS TALK Iâve often said that Christianity is not a religion, and there are those who struggle with that truth. But once you grasp the real teachings of Christianity, you realize it isnât a religion at all.
Consider your relationship with your biological fatherâwould anyone describe that as a religion? Of course not. Itâs a living, vital relationship. In the same way, Christianity is the relationship between God the Father and His children.
Before the Lord Jesus came, there was no relationship of this nature. Men were merely worshipersâreligious and distant. But Jesus brought us into fellowship, a love-relationship with the Father. He brought us into a real vital relationship with God.
Itâs a family relationship. Ephesians 3:14-15 tells us about this family; some are in heaven and some in the earth.
This is why the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus is so profound. He is our Lord and Saviour, yet He is also our Brother. After His resurrection, He said, âââŠI am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your Godâ â (John 20:17 NKJV).
Before the cross, He called His disciples servants; later, friends. But after His resurrectionâthe origin of ChristianityâHe called them brethren. Hebrews 2:11 tells us He is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters.
What a glorious truth! As holy and righteous as He is, He has brought us into Godâs family. Let it be a call of duty to bring many into this family relationship with the Lord through soul-winning outreaches.

Pray: Dear Father, thank you for bringing me into such a glorious, intimate, and loving relationship with you. Iâm a member of your divine family, one with Christ and an heir of the Kingdom. I live in the consciousness of this oneness, walking in love, dominion, and righteousness. Thank you for calling me your own and making me part of your eternal plan, in Jesusâ Name. Amen.
