I think people only think of Gale as a revolutionary because they’ve been told he is, and they’ve been told he is primarily because he joined the military entity labeled “The Rebellion” and not because there are a whole lot of instances of him actively rebelling on the actual page (I mean if you can find them, I’m all ears) — this isn’t Gale hate, but I actually think it ascribes him a bit too much autonomy, when the point of Gale is that for most of the series he is powerless and that’s where his anger builds (because obviously it would)
