He’s probably an archaeologist or something and works on identifying and sometimes removing enchantments from ancient tombs to make them safe for study and exploration. (He also might be responsible for improving a few to make sure no one disturbs them). 

He listens to his headphones too loud in the field probably and the museums get mad at him now and again because if there’s an artifact of an animal he doesn’t know he just catalogs it as ‘a weird dog’ and forgets to go back and correct them.

“Tech” Tekchen - hobo/migrant worker, air nomad

Descended from another survivor of the Airbender genocide (come on like there couldn’t have been other survivors besides Aang; that never made sense to me), Tech tried to become an Air Acolyte when he was 18 with the full intention of revealing himself to Avatar Aang. When he realized the pressures that would come with becoming an Air Monk, he fled, instead taking to a life of travel. He’s been everything from bandit to mechanic, and now is mostly travelling the world to do his own research into the secrets of airbending and the arcane. In his own way, he became a true Air Nomad. Trying to avoid Tenzin at all costs.

Element: Air

Fighting Style: Drunken Monkey/Southern Snake

Special Abilities: Sonic booms, compressed air explosions, cloudsurfing (what you see the airbenders doing in the Avatar Wan segment)

Mr. Rin Taeshinobu - Firebending master, lightningbender

It’s said that his glare can burn you, and it can. Conduction is his specialty, using it in combination with a metal fan both to distract, and to use said metal fan much like a taser, when closed. With concentration, he needn’t move to set something on fire; he can raise the energy from afar. This can be quite dangerous in a place like Zhaofu, but he seems content to keep the books and entertain for the Beifongs in his time off.
