as a reminder, this is a useful look back at some of what gossip cop has decided to speak out on and when and what that may mean towards the emmys.
all of the below is my formatting of CS’s work, plus like two spelling changes. dates are bolded. their words are otherwise unaltered from how they were sent to me. any thoughts, clarifications, or additions by me will be in both italics and parentheses:
May, GC was very coy for TS and CH relationship before the official split on June 1rst. (*at this point in my life, i barely thought about GC. ah, the good old days.)
Lets see. (GC posts a) Debunk for break up May 5th (after Met).
Debunks May 18th about cheating with Tom, so 14 days after the Met Gala. (*very important imo for the pure TS narrative. she would never cheat. she’s the innocent)
Funny fact : GC denied Daniel Craig depart from Bond role the next day. Coincidence ? Not sure. (*this morning new reports DC is being given a dumptruck of money to stay)
After, nothing about Tom before June 15th at RI. Like the Met Gala dance couldn't have consequences or never happened to TS. And we know now the lies.
I mention you an other interesting fact : they debunked a wedding and ring narrative and others ones facts about the relation on June 2th and 3th. Not before. (*i didn’t realize GC was debunking CH wedding ring rumors this late. in the game. feels oddly like the same narrative but with more drama added that we got about a month later with Thiddy)
June 16th (after RI) GC debunked rumors concerning Tom dating TS because of Bond role. (*tree got busy)
My supposition, but Taylor’s team double played the PR game before the split with CH just for more reactions from everyone, including TS and CH fans. Like the actual situation with Tom with break up soon or Emmys presence. So like WTH (*heezy) and you said : careful about the narrative. Everything could happen with TS. (*nothing is true, everything is merchandising)
(Aug 7th) It could be like the return from the guy she met at the birthday party, she came in solo like the Met Gala. Everything. (the Mike Hess play refreshed a lot of drama, chaste but got tongues going)
now: News clickbaits named TS possessive nature, something she hates and complained about in the past. If GC doesn't react soon, it would be on the narrative but its surprising for TS. Others recents articles talks about her let him "breathing" (directly Tree work). We'll have to wait and see...
(i think the possessive nature aspect of this story is true. she’s incredibly possessive of not only the people in her life, but the narrative around her. tree, by extension, becomes one of the most powerful people within this tiny sphere, because she wields narrative power. the recent silence by gossip cop is important, but what that actually says is still unknown - because that’s part of their power here. they have pr control.)
