Been playing with the new autocrafter and it's so cool!!
Just finished making two new 1wt block compactors that I'm super proud of! They're smaller than an item filter!
This one here is super simple, but it comes at the cost of not being able to process gold or iron ingots since the observer double pulses, though I *believe* it can be adapted to handle many kinds of single ingredient recipes. Haven't tested yet.
This though I'm especially proud of, it's got some pretty ingenious use of calibrated skulk sensors here. This doesn't need to be soundproofed so long as you don't eat or drink near it. Which still only has a slight chance to mess up a single craft. So it seems like a pretty reasonable concession.
The lectern is set to 8 for both of these btw. Happy to explain how it works if you're curious.
Minecraft is a wild game 'cause some people play and build a cute cottage in the woods with flowers and a library and other people build nightmare fear-scapes for villagers so they don't have to mine iron
Today in minecraft Adventures:
I made a Sculk Generator!
It's in the cave beneath my back garden.
The Top part is the mob spawning and distribution center. Below that is the control center/AFK platform.
Most functions can be controlled from there, including the spawn stopping lights, and a hatch which lets me use it as an EXP grinder:
Spiders get stuck on occasion, so i have this button which lets me purge the shaft with lava.
If i just want to collect mob drops, I can divert them to a secondary shaft
The water dispenser and trapdoor are controlled by this fancy dual mode timing circuit:
It makes sure that the water will never be flowing while the doors are open, so there's no chance of accidents should there be lava in the shaft.
When in Sculk mode, the mobs fall down into the chamber below.
And that's where I crush them
i feel obligated to share this here because like. this is one of the most impressive feats that really shows the power of 1) sethbling 2) block display entities So yeah sethbling has been back to doing stuff in minecraft, interested largely due to mojang adding the display and interaction entities... and hes done a lot. he was busy making actual physics in a datapack. no caveats; theres no server plugin api required, no external physics engine is being used. its all minecraft scoreboards and such.

Has anyone thought about the fact that diamonds are now, technically, farmable in-game? We saw the new Trail Spawner pop out a few diamonds and emeralds after all the mobs were defeated, so presumably after its cool-down ends and new mobs pop out and are then summarily defeated, MORE diamonds (and emeralds) will come out.
It'll be a very, very slow way to farm diamonds, but hey! Now it's POSSIBLE.
Soundstone, Slimestone, Redstone, Airstone.
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Redstone Nation attacked.
I've come up with a design I'm happy with for a 1-wide and tileable amethyst farm! Java Edition 1.17+
More notes below the cut.
