Before you sell your iphone β checklist:
β remember your apple id password (not your passcode β your apple id password)
β check if stolen device protection is on β if yes, there is a mandatory 1-hour wait before you can disable find my. no shortcut. i tried.
β settings β your name β find my β find my iphone β toggle off
β go to icloud.com/find β all devices β confirm phone is gone from list
β back up everything before handing it over
skipping that last icloud step is exactly how trade-ins get rejected
