Morning Flow at Tebet Station - 2023
It was a cloudy morning in March 2023. A light drizzle had just fallen, leaving the pavement at Tebet Station slightly wet and glistening under the station’s canopy. Located in South Jakarta - Indonesia, the station was already alive with the weekday rush.
Dozens of commuters, wrapped in jackets or rain ponchos, flowed out of the KRL Commuter Line exit. With umbrellas folded and bags in hand, they moved steadily toward the integrated Trans Jakarta Busway terminal. The crowd was a mix of quiet determination and routine — office workers, students, and vendors moving in sync like parts of a well-rehearsed machine.
Outside the terminal gates, a long line had already formed. People stood patiently, queuing for the next Trans Jakarta bus that would carry them closer to Jakarta’s bustling business centers — Kota Kasablanka, Mega Kuningan, Sudirman, and beyond.
The line curved neatly along yellow tactile paving, flanked by railings that kept the flow in order. The morning air was thick with the smell of damp asphalt and street food from nearby stalls.
This was daily life at Tebet Station — a scene of transition, of thousands chasing opportunity, one bus ride at a time.
