So... Benedict won an Emmy. And Martin won an Emmy. It's just a bit like 'Performance in a Leading Role'. Don't you think?
Goodness, one might think my tea blends were getting around the Sherlock crew/set or something. HMMMM.
And again...
So sad that of all those 13 Emmy nominations none turned into a real award for our #TeamSherlock. They would have really deserved it!
I guess it is more celebrating shows that are produced and created in the US, with big names already known.
On the other side, we should be proud of to where Sherlock made it. To have this big success and get 13 nominations in total is already a big achievement! We should be proud of that! Many others didn't win on the first nomination.
Next year, it will be so different. Benedict and Martin will be even more popular and in demand.
From the interview of Huffington Post, where they asked nominees who they think will win, it was already clear that Benedict did not think he has a high chance to win. Not having a speech prepared would not be him really.
Although I would have loved seeing him win, just to be so totally surprised and overwhelmed that he has no clue what to say :-)
Benedict, Martin, Sue, Steven, Mark and Paul, have a great party now and make the best out of it! Here's to next year!!!
