The witch disappears from her floating sitting position in the air to reappear right next to him in a shower of golden sparkles only so she can go to try and lightly hit him in the forehead with her pipe. Maybe a good smack will wake him up.

Gon stares at Johnny with wide eyes, his mouth a little letter 'o' until the actor mentions a dog. Then and only then do Gon's brows furrow with serious determination. "Mr. Cage, a dog is a lot of responsibility... but I'd do it for you!" He nods once and his big backpack wobbles with him, fishing pole line swinging around so the little plastic fish almost smacks Johnny in the head with extreme, impossible force. Gon doesn't notice because he's smacking a fist into his other palm--He blinks back up at Johnny with awe cutting into his expression. "John Wick must be really strong..."

how do you get yourself out of a writing funk?

Oh boy do I get those often lol I think the best way is to take breaks and to not force it. It’s ok if you can’t write for a few days. People will still be here when you return. It’s just your brain being exhausted, and can you blame the poor spongy mass floating in your skull? Everything is *vaguely gestures at the chaos*. Take breaks. For your health. I promise, it’ll come back to you. Also, reading helps me a lot. When I read a story that really calls to me, usually the writing mojo springs right back into action!

do you have any advice for other writers?

Write what you want, how you want (as long as it’s hurting no one of course). Stop worrying what other people will think – this is for fun, this is for you, this is your craft.
