08.01 - “Symbol and Ceremony” - Happy August! Hope you are all excited for my birth month and have hella contingency plans for when the temperature of the air exceeds that of your body. Nothing particularly exciting going on with the shape of the shadow today, I just wanted to wear these colors together. It took me a while to decide between three lip colors for this look, but I ultimately settled on auburn because it felt softer than black and more subdued than bright orange. I think it adds to the strength of the eyes without detracting too much attention from them. The eight dots are my way of saying hello to the eighth month of the year. And, of course, I do love it when my finished product feels as ritualistic as the process of putting my makeup on.
