Tricks my cat has learned:
Come here kitty (98% effective, once in a while she just Doesn't Want To, and I respect that)
Sit here kitty
Stop/no/don't touch that
Skill of "throwing up/hairballs IN the litterbox" (honestly this is the best, ever)
Stay back kitty (mostly for opening doors and carrying things where I can't see her)
Don't Trip People On The Stairs (also only like 98% effective, but she deserves whimsy once in a while and it keeps me on my toes)
Skills I desperately want my cat to learn:
Look at this thing
Don't cuddle dirty socks/shoes
Plastic is not a snack
Edit:
She has taught herself to alert me when my blood sugar is too low (I really didn't teach her this on purpose, she's just done it I think because I'm boring and don't play with her or pet her when I have a low sugar episode, and she doesn't like it)
My new ambition is to teach her to sniff the milk and let me know whether it has gone bad. It's the most argued about chore between my partner and I because we both HATE milk smell. And she likes stinky things. And the fact that she can just decide that she knows how to be a medical alert animal makes me think that "milk bad?" Probably won't be too hard for her!!
