#tea bus

This is so nice- at the age of 19, Giuseppe converted an old school bus into Edna Lu, the Free Tea Bus. 

Isn’t this cute? He travels around handing out free tea to bring people together and remind them that money isn’t the key to happiness. 

Over more than 10 yrs., he has served over 35,000 cups of tea. 

The day he bought the bus, he moved in and took 5 yrs. to convert it, using salvaged material.

He doesn’t take money for the tea and has a drawer of “Gift & Take” where people can donate, or take items that they need.

The bus runs by vegetable oil, the electricity is powered by a 320 watt solar panel, and has a wood burning stove. 

The bus either parks on city streets, or goes to events like farmer’s markets. The tea bus is a lifestyle, Giuseppe works every day, but not at a regular job, and if you’re curious about how he survives, you can check it out on his blog.

We cannot possibly sell tea and not cakes! Of course you can join in! (I assumed you were a part of the tea van idea anyway!)
