Going on vacation tomorrow and I don't have any knitting to bring. But that's on purpose because it's Tour de Fleece time!
I'm not bringing my wheel, so I've got two spindle projects packed.
One of my favourite localish dyers - Shades of Ewe. This blend is so squishy!
Spindle is locally made and can be used suspended or supported. I'll see what the fiber wants.
Second up:
Started working on this supported spindle project a little while ago.
Looks like my theme so far is "Luxury"
First yellow jersey since 2023 🥺
My goal for TDF26 is to make a huge dent in this fine Shetland I’ve been putting off spinning since September. I’m spinning it in sports weight-ish with the hopes of making a sweater after! No goals other than putting a good dent in this project!

it’s a shame that Isaac seems to be getting a bit cocky here, but being generous I would chalk it up to his youth and comparative inexperience. he doesn’t know Jonas the way Tadej does, he doesn’t understand the kind of strategy that Jonas and Visma implement. they have some of the best teamwork in the sport and when things go right you can see how well-coordinated they are!
plus there’s been a huge difference in the two stages Tadej has won over Jonas so far: he had a really strong teammate (Isaac) leading him out and helping him conserve his energy for those hard final pushes, whereas in both stages Jonas’ teammates were too tired and had to drop back by the end of the stage and couldn’t help him. it can make all the difference!!
you can also really tell how much Tadej doesn’t want people to see him as superhuman, emphasizing that if the climb had been 1km longer he would have been screwed, how difficult it was, and in his face you can see how exhausted he was afterward…
Practiced my chain plying with some wonderfully soft merino scraps I have:
It’s more avocado-looking in person.
please accept this as my thesis proposal
