I love them so much

Not a new concept I just realised I've never posted about this lmaoo (Actually I think I have??? Whatever I've just updated it). A bit of this is old art, if you noticed any style changes that's why. I'd consider this both me and @brookiidookiii's AU

You can probably get the gist of this; girl got bit by a radioactive spider and got powers yadda yadda. She mainly used it to get ahead athletically and mess with people until shit hit the fan and she realised "oh wait maybe I should be doing more with this". She is pretty harsh and cutthroat though so she's more of an anti-hero in a sense! Really love Jo as spidey since she's already got the witty jokes and athleticism (plus she herself has stated she'd step up to save the world) but her starting out as a bully brings something new to the table.

Her original concepts were more winter-themed (since you know. Canada) but I'm directing it to her being speed-based since Jo's main skills involve being fast (she utilises acceleration a lot in her fighting). You can still see elements of her old designs through her fluffy hood. She has retractable fangs too yayyy! Her old name was Frostbite but now I'm considering Slingshot-- she was initially called spiderMan by the public and you can probably imagine how she felt about that

Cameron is her 'guy in the chair' :D he was the first to find out and sorta maybe blackmailed her into not bullying him and letting him study her abilities. I had to make him ironboy lmaoo it's a fun swap of MCU peter and tony's mentor/mentee dynamic. I'd consider them the main duo, I reaally love them and their interactions

Brick is more of a police boy than an army boy here (here Macarthur can be his aunt or something. Ignore the fact that it's a fake name. Also ignore how she was stated to be 19 I don't believe that and she's presented as a grown adult in dramarama). He's conflicted about the vigilantism and disagrees with Slingshot's methods but when the police are fucking around he turns to her for help. At school they are friends/frenemies but he isn't as smart as cameron and doesn't catch on

Now the villains yayyy!!! Scarlett is the main one, I might play with her backstory a bit but she's an intern for some big Oscorp-adjacent company and is experimenting with the effects of radiation. She's the one behind most of the mutants and is their universe's Doc Ock! Kinda had Max as her "sidekick", they both remind me of classic and spiderverse doc ock. I like Chris Mclean running said company and Chef being his right hand man

Kiiinda playing with Fang either being an experimented on shark or him/scott being this universe's Lizard? Either one would be cool. Also Lightning is the Flash thompson equivalent duh, he can have venom too as a treat but that wouldn't be a main storyline thing. And Sierra is a photographer for the news... good luck Jo
