The Courtney hcs that OP uses as an example have stuck around exceptionally long for a very good reason (her personality traits don't come from nowhere)
As for hcs that I'm personally not fond of, you can basically extend the acearo DJ stuff to other black characters people don't wanna ship (Cameron, B, Beardo, etc) because lowkey it's kinda sus atp
