Characters:
Ji-Hoon Allen - Ji-Hoon’s known he was different since he was a child, able to sense something nobody else can: love. He’s adopted, with a younger sister he loves more than anything and parents going through a divorce. He’s the star quarterback of the high-school football team, but has a secret passion for baking. What he wants is a friend group that don’t measure his worth in football stats, and he thinks maybe he’s found it | pansexual, possibly has adhd
Lucy Allen - Ji-Hoon’s little sister; struggles with speech; loves baked goods, nature, fairies, and the color pink | autistic, albino, lesbian
Miriam Klein-Thomson - recently moved back into town after traveling the world with her professor father. Miriam has a love of books so deep she sometimes struggles to separate fiction from reality; she tends to be over-excitable and dreams of going on adventures and being a hero. She also has the most practical intelligence and experience out of the group | Jewish, African American, bisexual, polyamorous
Kanani Zabala - Kanani is the beauty queen of their school, Ji-Hoon’s ex and Miriam’s childhood best friend. She’s cynical and the most prone to thinking of the negatives out of the four. Incredibly driven, when she wants to be, she has a deep desire for knowledge and hates to be left in the dark | mixed Hawaiian and Tigua Pueblan, bisexual
Andres Caton Cortez Herrera - The quietest of the four, Andres is a genius who struggles to connect with people; more out of anxiety that they might not actually like having him around than any real lack of interest or social skills. In fact, minus Ji-Hoon, he’s the most emotionally aware of the group. What he really wants is to change the system, the way the world works. And to date Ji-Hoon, or at least continue to be in his orbit | trans, bisexual, Mexican American
