The Chronciles of Lathsbury Tarot Deck
0 - THE FOOL: Aeyar, Goddess of Spring & Meadows
a free spirit at the beginning of its journey; innocent to the ways of the world but excited to take the first steps towards what lies ahead past the comfort of its sheltered life.
—
Aeyar is a minor goddess born of the kiss that MIZDARR, god of forests, left on the hand of IIARAN, mother of Terrae and goddess of creation after the Fourth Movement in The Song of Ii, or the creation of the world, which created all of the forests and grasslands. She sprung forth fully formed with a horse’s lower half and the body of a beautiful maiden above. She rules over grasslands, meadows, fields, flowers, insects, honey, tree sap, as well as horses and all other mount animals.
Her arrival with a basket of flowers slung over her shoulder is a signifier of spring, and everywhere her magical flowers touch, growth and beauty follow. She is a joyful but free spirited goddess, taking after both of her parents, though due to the jealousy of her mother’s wife IISIDIA, she is much closer to her father, who dotes on her wholeheartedly. She is also the half-sister of MUINENS, goddess of justice and order on her mother’s side and the two have a pleasant relationship, despite MUINENS’s slight disdain for her beloved father. She is also the half-sister of KIBARUM, god of the harvest, as MIZDARR and MUINENS are his parents.
Animals follow after her long tail and she often dances in especially sunshine-y places. Though Terraeneans cannot see her due to her divinity, she is thought to be present when you see unusual flower circles following whimsical patterns that disappear within a gust of wind.
