"I Got Soul," a new video by Luella and the Sun, was recorded live a few weeks after the June 8th, 2013 fire that destroyed the studio (Wow & Flutter) and half the home of guitarist Joe McMahan. It was the place where he and Luella lived, where the band developed their sound and where they recorded their two-song 10" vinyl debut. In order to shoot the video, Director Michael Trebing (Cage Free Visual) and the band (McMahan, vocalist Luella, bassist Adam Bednarik and drummer Jon Radford) Â rented generators and lights to film in the powerless, charred, soot-filled space. Mixer/Producer Tchad Blake (Black Key's, Tom Waits) lent his talents to mix the live recording. Â
