It’s the main antagonist of TBOR, a no-nonsense Secret Government Agent Man, Edward Rosas!!!
Edward Rosas is a young MIB secret government agent who, at one point, actually went to the same college as the protagonist, Saul Walker went to before Saul dropped out. Even before college, the two were close friends ever since junior year of high school. For the longest time, Edward felt he could tell Saul everything that even his own helicopter parents didn’t know. Edward, looking back retrospectively, may have had a bit of a crush on Saul, though at the time, he didn’t recognize it as such. So, when both were accepted to the same college, Edward couldn’t be happier.
However things began to change as Saul started to act a bit strangely. At first, Edward didn’t notice this as his new college life and his studies preoccupied him. To him, nothing was wrong on the surface. As time went on, Saul’s state worsened with him becoming increasingly more anxious and paranoid of the other students at school. Edward, now taking notice of this, tried to reach out to Saul, but to no avail. One day, Saul would suddenly leave the school without explanation, ceasing all contact with everyone he knew before, Edward included. He never knew why Saul left. It both broke his heart and angered him, feeling betrayed that his best friend would just leave out of nowhere without even telling anyone where he was going. It just never made sense...
Edward's father works as a higher up for secret government agents and basically had enough leverage to put his son on as an agent shortly after he finished college. Years later Edward had almost forgot about Saul until he is dispatched to the sleepy town of Rabbitwood to investigate the mysterious Beast, the Gelatitan... only to find Saul in town, searching for the creature himself. At first, despite still feeling hurt by Saul’s sudden departure, Edward still wanted to reconnect with his old friend and even offer him a job in his agency. But things get complicated when Saul befriends the very creature Edward was sent out to capture. Now his job calls for him to “silence” Saul for getting too close to the truth and to detain the Gelatitan.
Though he wants to follow through with his orders and to not ruin his father’s reputation, Ed is conflicted by his feelings towards Saul. Yes, he does feel some anger since in his POV, Saul just left without even saying goodbye but at the same time... should he really kill him?
It’s the main protagonist of TBOR Verse and the unofficial single gay man looking for single gay monsters, Saul Walker!
The Beast Of Rabbitwood follows Saul Walker, a self-sufficient, self proclaimed “cryptozoologist”, and 25 year old college dropout currently trying to get accepted into the paranormal group, Operation Occult Paranormal Society. It’s 1995. Up until now he has been traveling across North America, wandering to avoiding staying too long in one place or letting a good chunk of people “to get to truly know him”. He’s in search of supernatural entities and some odd jobs to get by. There has been recent sightings in Virginia of a strange gelatinous creature called “The Beast of Rabbitwood”, according to a radio news station. Saul hurriedly drives over to investigate, excited to see this thing up close and perhaps, maybe try to get footage of the creature in order to impress the folks back at Operation Occult.
By the time he arrives, the Gelatitan, the Beast, has escaped from its enclosure in Rabbitwood out into the Chantel Forest, where efforts to recapture it were unsuccessful. According to the weird, outraged townsfolk, the Gelatitan was responsible for much of the town’s structural damage that had taken place recently and apparently the Gelatitan “just snapped” one day and angrily bared its sharp teeth at the mayor, snarling and threatening to viciously bite him. Now they want reinforcements to get rid of it since they seemingly can’t with their own weapons or people. Despite the wild tales of the Beast and the warnings by the local police not to enter the forest, Saul sneaks into the woods alone. As he searches out in the isolated woodlands where it was last seen, he await to see this now elusive Beast, unaware of what it may bring…
