Well, Blaine had already had a tattoo (the back of his head, which he’d gotten while unconscious so…) and yeah, he passed out getting Cerberus. Kurt thought he was just being overdramatic, not realizing that his own pain threshhold was cray.
...Should I be concerned that he was unconscious for the first one? (And I said that--"and on the back of his head".)
