“I want to be in charge of my own self, and not be controlled anymore”

Tayvia Ayremia Evenpath is a person after her own heart, she cares for her friends and her family, she helps everyone when they are in need of it, and the life of a party in case one is happening at the moment. She is a selfless individual, a person who follows the present, rather than dwell on the past or focus on the future. She’s confident in herself, and happy, for the most part. Born and raised in the lower city of Baldur’s Gate, Tayvia didn’t have much growing up, except for her family and their surroundings, but she was happy with what she had.

As she got older, she learned more about the world and such, made friends, allies, even romantic partners, but all of them gave her a lesson in life, a valuable one in the end that shaped her to be the person she is today. However, she’s been living in regrets somewhat for one specific reason. The fact that she was, at some point her mere life, an acolyte of Bhaal, serving the former chosen of his, his son.

The reason for her pledge of allegiance was the day Bhaal took control of Tayvia and her consciousness. One night, she killed lots and lots on people in the dark alleyways of Baldur’s Gate, and come dawn, she was only left with tears on her cheeks and a letter on her knees, telling her to come to the Temple of Bhaal. Despite not wanting to go, Bhaal took control once again of Tayvia to remind her of his position as a god. She then had to abandon her family and loved ones, and even her past self, to be controlled to follow Bhaal’s orders to become the acolyte of his next chosen, his own flesh and blood.

A few years passed and despite the suffering, Tayvia managed to escape being controlled by Bhaal and ran far away from the temple, however, she was still followed by him in some ways, to come back and be a blind follower of his, removing her recent memories. Upon her return to normality, Tayvia cried to the point she couldn’t breathe any longer. Everything that she lost to become a prestigious acolyte of Bhaal and his chosen, meant that she can no longer come back to how things used to be for her in the end.
