Very annoyed with the lack of Mother’s Day posts for those who lost theirs. This is for the people struggling with the loss of their mother, who didn’t know their mother, or who had to learn to live without their mother due to some other personal circumstance. Hope you’re all finding a way to enjoy today without thinking about it. ❤️

the local movie theater i grew up going to is closing. democrats in california want to pass an id verification bill despite already passing a self reporting one at the OS level. WORST FUCKING TIMELINE EVER. take me back to 2010 please i beg

i wish tumblrinas cared about pushing back against age verification as much as they cared about tumblr ui changes

i don't think people understand that if trump isn't in office in 2 years or next month or whenever, it won't stop any of the bad laws from still being in place. it will however give people the flase sense of security because dems are now in charge via the branches of government and "they care" and "will fix this mess" and "they now have the power in congress they didn't before" and people will go back to having brunch like nothing. completely forgetting that dems are the other side of the coin. they will still find ways to implement mass surveillance laws at the behest of companies like fb. they will still use ice but simply say they need to be "retrained". they will still give dhs and ice and police in general incredibly large budgets and say it is for "safety" and "to protect the communities they serve". dems are not the saviors people think they are and i wish more people understood this. just because they're the lesser evil doesn't mean they aren't evil.

my dad not understand that age verification id laws have nothing to do with "protecting the kids" nor do they have anything to do with "knowing who is legal and who isn't" and everything to do with mass surveillance and crushing freedome of speech / those that oppose the government makes me want to pull my hair out and idk how to get him to understand that id laws to use the internet are connected with why newspapers no longer exist and why local news stations are being bought up. and that simply getting rid of all social media isn't going to make thing better because it is all by design.
