1. Chanbaek’s Heart Tattoos

Back on 150612, when EXO members were given temporary tattoos for the concert, Baekhyun and Chanyeol had matching wrist tattoos, Baekhyun of a heart and Chanyeol of a heart beat TT It’s also considered as Baekhyun with a heart and Chanyeol simplywith a beat, which together equal “heart beat”

2. Happiness Delight

Although possibly just a meaningless phrase, when translated to Latin (as most of the tattoos from that day were in Latin) as “happiness de light” it means “happiness of light” - light being Baekhyun’s power and a word that Chanyeol and the rest of EXO frequently use to describe him. It can also mean “happiness from light”, ‘light’ being the source of the happiness.

3. Baekhyun’s Bird Tattoo

Despite being posted on Baekhyun’s Instagram and its similarities to the temporary tattoo he has for his Nylon photoshoot, this photo isn’t actually of Baekhyun. It’s of Chanyeol, who got the same temporary tattoo at the same time (probably as a joke or just for fun).

As you can see below, there are several discrepancies in this being Baekhyun - the shape of the ear, the missing moles near the jaw, and the completely different placement of the bird for the actual photoshoot.

4. Monkey Tattoo

This tattoo represents Chanyeol’s Year of the Monkey, which of course could be the limit of it. However, us Chanbaekists can’t help but remember that Baekhyun is Year of the Monkey too TT

The second connection to Baekhyun was this phone case Baekhyun appeared with just weeks later - with the exact same image.

I’d really like to know what the rest symbolises though, or what it’s supposed to be - the curved line with the circles beneath. The line reminds me a bit of a moon…? Please let me know your thoughts and theories !

5. Arrow Tattoo

While this may seem simple, there’s a hidden layer to it ! The arrow is no doubt a nod to Chanyeol’s star sign, Sagittarius, which is often represented by an arrow (especially in tattoos) due to the sign’s love of travel and exploration. Around the arrow, however, you can see a circle, and when the lighting is just right, can also see small horns, much like the Taurus sign.

This feels very familiar too to Chanyeol’s iconic response to 'your favourite star sign’.

6. Guitar Tattoo

This tattoo is extremely fascinating to me because of how many levels it has in one. Notice how there’s two of each, a very galaxy, soulmate theme~ On top of this, it’s the tattoo that when asked about it, Chanyeol didn’t want to answer about it’s meaning~ Scroll down to see each layer !

Also super intereting about these crescent moons is that the smaller moon is the phase on Chanyeol’s birthday (November 27th 1992), and the bigger moon is the phase on Baekhyun’s birthday (May 6th 1992)~ It doesn’t get more specific than that right ?

7. Honourable Mention

This temporary tattoo from 2015 reminds me so much of the light/shining references that surround Chanbaek TT
