These spicy fish tacos are a delightful combination of crispy, flavorful fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and zesty lime crema. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!
Ingredients: 1 lb white fish fillets such as cod or tilapia. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1/2 teaspoon paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 small corn tortillas. 2 cups shredded green cabbage. 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1 jalapeo pepper, thinly sliced optional. 1/2 cup sour cream. 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1 lime, juiced. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon honey. Lime wedges for serving.
Instructions: Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C. Put the chili powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and mix them together. Brush both sides of the fish fillets with the spice mix after putting them on a baking sheet. The fish should be baked in a hot oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about one to two minutes on each side while the fish is baking. Shred the cabbage and add it to a large bowl. Add the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeo if using. Mix by tossing. Get a second small bowl and mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, honey, and lime juice together. This will make the lime crema. Cut the fish into little pieces with a fork when it's done. Spread some lime crema on each tortilla, then put some spicy fish on top of that. Finally, put some cabbage slaw on top of that. With lime wedges on the side, it will taste even better. Have a great time with your Spicy Fish Tacos, Cabbage Slaw, etc.
