Have you read Bellwether by Connie Willis? If you liked Blackout and All Clear you might enjoy it. :) itās shorter and set at a 90s think tankāthe female main character studies trends and goes on tangents about history. Itās funny and sweet.

the sheer pervasiveness of this is baffling. (I mean not actually, when you have 40 minutes + commercials. and my dad does basically just hang up to end a call, so ... I guess it can make character sense. BUT STILL.)
