Books are like little worlds waiting to be visited. Reading them is like travelling to the realm that opens before you, starting with that first sentence. That first word even. It's why I enjoy them so much. When I cannot travel myself, I travel through writing.

Sometimes I read to him. He can't read english too well. His knowledge is mostly around the spice's history and scripts. He gets happy when I ask him to tell me what he knows.

He looks nice when he talks about things he likes.

It's funny to me. A great god of desert civilisation, head over heels to talk about the times he helped the spice villages, or tended to the springs when no one was around.

Sometimes I imagine what else he could be so passionate about. How would he talk about his favourite story? A favourite cookie to be around? How would he talk about me to others? I know he has a positive view on me. We've had a couple of... situations.

Perhaps I'll be able to ask him what he did when he returns. It would be nice to talk to him again. I don't know how long he'll be gone. I'll be fine on my own for a while, I'm sure. It'll be alright.
