Grateful that the staff on the farm hadn’t arranged for the farm to be selling anything on the market this week, which meant Mads didn’t have to peddle fruit and vegetables for change (it wasn’t exactly a hardship, hell, if she could promote those shady Morphe brushes yonks ago, she could sell a few apples). Taking full advantage of exploring the stalls to their full extent, the former influencer allowed herself to get lost in the hustle and bustle, mentally being transported back to her favorite market back in LA.

If her heart panged slightly, it was due to the last of the summer heat clinging to the air, duh. Nothing else. She totally wasn’t sad about being run-out of the town she once called home.

The only thing that would solve the sudden negative thoughts was drowning them out with something strong and alcoholic. Making a beeline to the stall advertising artisanal wine, Madisyn requested three bottles — red, white and rosé baby! — leaning against the stall as they made a show of gift wrapping them (as if she wasn’t going to uncork them as soon as she was able to, ala Cameron Diaz in The Holiday) when the woman next to her caught her eye. Madisyn Huang never forgot a face, even if names evaded her. “Hey, hey. You were on the West Coast for a bit, right?”

It had been a strange week for Roman. Strange because, each day he woke up, the hole in his heart didn’t feel as deep. It ached, sure, the lingering pain almost as prominent as the constant numbing and tingling in his hand. But it was manageable, like whatever had changed in his routine made him unconsciously let go of the grief he felt for Harry, piece by piece, without the additional guilt of it all. 

A part of him pointed out the big change in routine was the ever constant presence of Antonio, either in his and Ophelia’s kitchen, or pestering Roman enough to go a couple of doors down to his own house, watching in bemusement as the bassist was being bothered by the cat who seemed to have ‘taken a liking to him’ as the guitarist put it. 

Still, it couldn’t have been just that. Spending time with a friend wasn’t the be all and end all of all ailments, was it? He had been too preoccupied with this train of thought that the meeting went by all too quickly. He was unsure if he even acknowledged Jack or Rory, or if they had even attended, and was just leaning by the door as the thought struck him still, lost in his own mind, when someone from somewhere cleared their throat to indicate their presence.

“What? What?” It came out sharp, like a knife cutting into the quiet atmosphere of the hall slowly emptying out, eyes falling on a young looking woman (and wasn’t that fucked, seeing someone at least ten years younger than him in the most depressing of meet-up spots), looking at him with interest. “Yes?”

Ever since Scarlett had mentioned to her boss about doing some articles based on the head chef's around town, she had been on a spree. At the rate she was going, she was going to need to go shopping to find some new clothes to fit into—not a huge problem in her book, she loved the fact that her job's perks came with trying new foods. Plaid mini skirt, white t-shirt and knee high black boots on, the redhead grabbed her notebook and she was out the door. Oyster & Pearl so far had a really good reputation, and the head chef was said to be one of the best they had seen in Blue Harbor, so being aboe to sit down with him and pick his brain about all things food and cooking had her excited.

Upon arriving to the restaurant the redhead had to wait a few minutes to be greeted in the front, the place busier than she had imagined it would be when she scheduled the interview. Nonetheless, she waited to be seated at a small booth off to the side, splaying her notebook open and clicking her pen to start drafting out the questions she had planned. A water had been dropped off to her as she waited, brown hues searching for any sign of the chef. A few more minutes continued to fly by, chewing down on the end of her oen she caught the eye of the hostess who sat her and flagged her down. "Excuse me! Hey, yes, is there any way you could remind Mr. Underwood that we have an interview scheduled?" The look on the hostess's face gave away just how nervous she was to do that. "Ugh, you know what nevermind..." she started, sliding herself out of her booth, grabbing her notebook as she did.

Making her way to the kitchen, her eyes widened at the sight of every single person rushing around. Hot plates rushed by her, she even found herself ducking underneath someone as they rounded the corner, making a slight squealing sound as she did. "Chance Underwood?" she yelled out, hoping that the man would appear out of thin air. "Or, uh, Chef Underwood?"

DECEMBER 15TH & 16TH, 2022

IN CHARACTER TASK 004 : INTERROGATIONS

After the reveal of the time capsule, including the fact that THE GOLDEN GIRL had recorded a video that had somehow culminated in THE NAIVE NEWCOMER being expelled, removed from campus in handcuffs….well, it’s safe to say that the investigation team looking into Greer’s disappearance don’t trust ANYONE. Regardless of how students initial conversations went at the beginning of the year, they’re calling everyone back in - it’s clear that secrets abound on Ogden College’s campus, and they’re going to uncover ANY that stand in their way of tracking down Greer Morrison. And before you ask - no, they don’t care that it’s finals. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: this should NOT reveal your characters motive !!! 

This task is going to be formatted a bit differently, and has multiple possible outcomes - please check out the appropriate channel in the discord for more information !!! 

After the interactive portion is completed, hold tight for further instructions! Once received, this task can be approached however you would like, provided the outcome your character receives is properly utilized, and characters motives are not revealed. 

AS A REMINDER, your character should be dodging their motive and anything else they want to keep a secret, as well as anything they think would make them look bad, especially now that they know the cops believe there may have been foul play, as the arrest and expulsion of The Naive Newcomer shows. They did nothing wrong, right ?? So they have nothing to hide - but, they really don’t want to look suspicious and be the next person dragged off campus by the police, do they ??

CHARACTER TASK 004: FICTIONAL REPRESENTATION

Hassan in The Illegal (2019): This character was the main inspiration for Suraj - I used most of the backstory but flipped his personality. (The actor is also called Suraj, so that’s where Suraj got their name from ;p). By the end of the movie I felt so bad for the main character, so Suraj continues the story and still gets a chance to make movies like they always wanted.
