So there’s four stories

one shows Perchpaw after leaving the Daycare and being called a ‘problem child.’

one shows Perch after being attacked by Tartail

one shows Goosekit wondering if she’s bad because they look like Tartail

one shows Perchclaw as a Daycare helper

So what if Perchpaw/claw was the one to comfort and talk to Goosekit? Tartail hurt him (which is why he was killed), and Perch wanted the kit to know that she is NOT Tartail. And he’s super nice and caring about it and maybe Goose, feeling better, asks to play and they do

Since not many kits who came to the dark forest had parents, they often came to his den, where he made sure that they were cared for while parents were found for them.

So why was Goosekit there?

“Hello Goose.” He greeted, ignoring the hiss that Wormkit leveled at him.

The little mollie dipped her head politely.

“Alderstar.”

“Why aren’t you with your mothers? They must be worried sick!” Alder chided.

“Gramps taught us about… how kits were made. Just the basics, but he said something that made me upset.” She squeaked.

Alder’s ears folded. “What was that, little one?” He asked.

Goosekit looked away. “Gramps said that litters can have different papas for each kit, and that made me think.” She sighed and pushed her paw half-heartedly through the dirt.

“What is mama’s old mate was my papa?” She looked up. “The mean one that makes Mama cry. I heard her telling Cam that I look like her old mate. So I left. I don’t wanna make her sad.” Her ears flattened against her head. “I don’t want to look like him.”

Story:

His mother was ‘deranged,’ ‘sick,’ and ‘evil.’

Yet his father, who many described as ‘a dick’ or ‘clingy’ was a ‘hero?’

Beechstar thought so. So he named Tarspots after his late father, and started treating him as though he was the deputy, rather than a young warrior.

Not that he had ever wanted to be a warrior. He wanted to be a medicine cat, so he could help.

But Beechstar kept pressuring him to become deputy, even retiring the old deputy so Tarspots could take his place.

It was getting ridiculous, and Tarspots said as much to Beechstar, only to be ridiculed for being “just like his mother.”

That was too much, and Tarspots attacked.

After a long and hard battle, Tarspots lay panting on the ground, and wondered if his mom would be proud of him for finishing what she had started.
