Hard to say, but maybe it was leaving an okay job with a good chance of upward progress to come live and work in Japan, but at the same time, that was a dream of mine, so tho it felt kinda crazy leaving my whole life behind, in a way, I don't regret it and I'd do it again!

I am very rarely--if ever--assertive, but I think I can be somewhat contrarian, so I think I'm especially assertive when friends are being hard on themselves or pessimistic and I try to find the silver lining. Though I try not to fall into the toxic optimism or fix it mentality.

Good question. My first instinct is to want to answer with ways that I'd change how my life situation is but that's not exactly myself as much as it is what's happening to me.
