and that's entirely on Anders Dragon Age in the half assed heavily critisised DA2. he did it when no one else did. five years late but it mattered to me.

x.a.n.a sooo wanted a fighter champion. ulrich was gonna be its target i think since it had a cool ass design ready for him. but then another guy with an even bigger sword fell into its lap.
disclaimer: yumi would have been the obvious choice BUT for the sake of my theory of x.a.n.a being an intelligence who wants to train super soldiers that can tackle anything for its own purposes (hence the objectively silly, personal attacks of great variety and alternating intensity and close calls, it pushes hard to make them strong but ultimately wants them to win. it was a military program after all) imma let it slide. and thus if it was yumi, all would be over real quick. 😭
