Callamos.

very pleased 2 welcome my new song “blue” to the world!!!!
Tario the wretch
Tario took a long drag from his cigarette as he gazed down at the rushing waters about 150 feet below him. Ashing his smoke, he watches as the small crumbles of burnt tobacco fall toward the depths beneath him. Sitting on the outer hand rail of the bridge; he turned the last page of his favorite story and finished, "I kiss'd thee ere I kill'd thee: no way but this; Killing myself, to die upon a kiss..." He closed the book and dropped his cigarette butt like the ash, into the depths. As he tucked his book into his jacket he easily recalled all of the reasons why he was on that bridge. The reasons that lead him to the decision he made. On this day he planned to take his own life. Cars passed by behind Tario as he sat, perched on the edge if the bridge. In from the night fog on one side, and off into the thick gray mist at the other end of the bridge. Tario took second to give the cruel world around him one last glance before plummeting into the shivering body of black water breaking beneath him. Just then, he noticed a figure approaching on foot. A small thin figure, perhaps a bit feminine in step. Even in his last moments he wanted to retain a bit of good taste. So he decided to wait until this person passed him by. But as she drew nearer, he noticed a familiar face. Rochel, a former classmate from highschool. As she drew nearer, she recognized Tario in spite of the haircut and facial hair he had gained since graduating. She sparked small conversation with him. Tario reconsidered. Within their short dialogue, Rochel insisted that they get coffee and catch up for old time's sake, within the week. Oddly enough the moment shared with a familiar face had lead Tario to reconsider his decision to abandon all hope. He had something to look forward too. As the two finished setting a time and date. Tario climbed down from his perch and waved as Rochel walked off into the foggy evening air. Tario began his unplanned journey home he pulled another smoke from his jacket and set it between his lips. As he went to light it, a gust of wind whipped his cigarette from his mouth landing it in the street that spanned the bridge. Thinking nothing of it, Tario stepped off of the sidewalk to snag it from the black asphalt. Reaching down to pick it up he noticed a great light surrounding him. Headlights from a fast approaching truck. Smack! It was all over in a matter of seconds. Tario lie in the cold street starring up at the clouded sky. Bleeding internally, with a shattered forearm and a slew of crushed ribs. Knowing death had taken him despite his change of heart; Tario thought calmly to himself, "...at least I brought a good book..."
