Tarantulapelt, along with his sister Scorpiontail, were born kittypets. They have no recollection of this because they were immediately given to the clan by their mother, who "didn't have time for kits." Tarantulapelt grew up extremely loyal, believing he was born a briarclan cat. However, it wasn't until one day near the end of his training that their lovely mother came by to say hello. Tarantulapelt and Scorpiontail where shocked and angered by this because they had been lied to. From then on they were determined to prove themselves to be briarclan cats. Tarantulapelt had joined Brackenstar to try and prove this loyalty. He was one of his strongest followers and it wasn't until the end, like so many others, when he turned and fought against Brackenstar.
