"If that is all there is to be shared, then I'd like for BatClan to take our leave. The trek back to the mountains is long-" WisteriaStar began, but was interrupted by a loud yowl from the back of the gathered cats. "No! You can't-" A young tom gasped out as he forced his way through the crowd, head down and panting as he stood trembling in front of the leaders. WisteriaStar's eyes narrowed as he looked down at the tom.

"SleekBerry, you were told to stay back at camp." He said slowly, and SleekBerry bristled.

"I won't stay in camp when you've refused to acknowledge that something is WRONG! You ignore the black water, the dying prey, the- the illness-" SleekBerry yelled, though he refused to look up at his leader."SleekBerry, that's enough-" WisteriaStar started to reprimand the tom, but BoughStar stepped in. "Now, Wisteria, why don't you let the poor fellow talk? If there's an illness, then it may affect all of us." BoughStar asked, but it was clear that she wasn't actually giving him a choice. As the one who'd been a leader the longest, she was given more respect in cases where others might've been yelled at or snubbed for daring to interfere in another clan's personal business. WisteriaStar backed down, but there was a glint in his eye that spoke of how frustrated he was.

"I, there's been so much black water appearing in our pools, our drinking water is contaminated. It started appearing just after BriarClan came to us, and i want answers, please. Anything, I'll take any scrap i can get if it means an answer for what's happening to us." SleekBerry's voice seemed almost feeble as he begged for answers. The young tom finally looked up, and the surrounding cats gasped and backed away from him.

SoulStar felt eyes on him as he stared at the young tom, the fur on the back of his neck prickling with unease.
