I can't tell you how long it would take Azune to even open his eyes. He doesn't come down easily from something like that, he doesn't like being unstrapped and left moorless, although Julien holding him would help with that. There's a lot of whining and crying and trying to hide (hal is a little particular about not allowing the hiding). Hal's voice helps, Hal's hand on his throat helps, he knows he'll get through this, and it's part of the entire thing for him being vulnerable enough to be helped the other end.

Eventually he would want Wick and Occtis in his lap in turns, to be allowed to hold them close and make sure they are still safe even though he wasn't there for a little bit, maybe fuss over them a bit. There are other things he wants from Julien but he won't ask in front of the others, and he's not willing to leave Hal's presence for quite a while.

I love how we're just acknowledging from the get go Azune is the given here.

Wickander. It's not that he's a stranger to praise, he's grown up with it almost to excess. But right now he's doubting all of that, and feeling like it was all just put on to placate him, or to a person that doesn't actually exist. He's particularly fond of degradation / praise combo, being praised for being a good slut, for being dirty, for being needy, for the things he's kept to himself until now, or not Allowed To Be Or Do. But he also has a lifetime of soul deep wanting to be good and he doesn't even know what that means anymore, so even a pat on the head and genuine 'good job' is Doing It For Him right now.

Julien. Okay surprise surprise Julien on the kink match but it's one I think he hides from most people. He doesn't want to be good, and he particularly doesn't want anyone else to think of him that way. To the point that I think if you tried to praise him it would come across as a turn *off* and he'd roll his eyes and wander off.

He also doesn't think he IS good. I mean he's good AT things, he's a good solider, he's a good weapon. But he's not a good person, if he's a person at all. You'd have to scratch pretty deep there, but for the right person, with the right time, it would hit very, very hard for him.

Occtis. You know what we're just gonna round out the 'born into a certain echelon of society and now has daddy issues' club. Occtis who never got any approval from his family? Ever? Who has exactly two people who care about him? Who now has some... issues with receiving bodily sensory input? Yeah, again he might not like to admit ir but soft, genuine praise is going to get inside that boy's head like no tomorrow.

StuffAndThings sends in such a fun variety of things I never know what I'm in for and I love it.

I mean, there's a reason grooming is a social activity both in people and many animals, right? Its oddly just the right thing to help Wick become more part of a group he's been a bit outside of.

And it's a little funny because the people are inherently behind him where he can't see so he's always trying to be so good when people are helping him out while they exchange glances?

Thaisha and Hal each with a wing in their hands, he's got a small comb and she's using her nails, reminiscing of when Hero was three or four and found sitting srill so hard so when Thaisha was home they would tag team her hair, a mixture of human and Rungjani textures that made it particularly tricky in those early years.

Julian sitting down without a word and pulling out an comb (brushes destroy his curls), thinking about being little and his mother trying to tame his locks. She'd kept it short when he was little but when Alba was born and her hair was not cut Julien began to refuse as well.

He doesn't say anything until Azune sits down next to him and more freely shares his own memories, using a brush on the small downy feathers where the wings attach to his back, one of the first people to notice Wicks reactions and try to slowly draw more out of him, a slow and subtle game until Julien notices what he's doing and then it's a competition and has a very different vibe too it.

also, along those lines, Wick gives very good hugs with em. They're big and fluffy and due to that tend to also wrap around the person he's hugging. Very nice to have when hugging somebody who's overwhelmed, or just having them lean against him and tucked under his wing, helping dull out the outside world.

Azune at one point has too many thoughts, and Wick just passes him a comb and lets him focus on preening his wings, gives him an objective until he calms down, and then it may turn into sinful category as his objectives change... (Wick has very pretty wings to hold onto and worship a bit. turns out the curl around a person still happens when Azune above him) (it ends with them curled up together, wings still there) (yes Hal finds them)

Stealth wasn't Teor's strength, exactly. And neither was climbing trees. Really at his age these should not be necessary skills to see a lover. And yet here he was, hauling himself over a balcony and opening a door left unlocked.

Teor was reasonably sure Wick did not actually sleep naked in this position. But who was he to deny his sweet boy his fantasies.
