now, Occtis throughout his life has had very, very few times where his body felt safe enough to go into a full blown heat, so now that he is? They hit incredibly hard. While he does try not to act like it, he is incredibly needy and craves near constant skin-to-skin contact.

you know who else is the same? Wick. he just strikes me as that type of person.

both of em are found in a haze, cuddling nude and dripping and whining with need. Wick is very eager to please in this state, but Occtis has to be coaxed out from his arms. praise does things to both of them, but particularly Occtis like this since he grew up with this as a "weakness". having multiple people willing to take care of him, especially with his emotions all out of wack, is a whole thing for him. Wick, on the other hand, considering the whole "keeping your body pure" and shit with the Creed and finally just able to just fuck about it is great for him.

Okay the like "Finally just be able to fuck about it" is wonderful for Wick.

his wings are itchy, his back hurts, and he's been dealing with a bunch of responsibilities and going from a quieter house where he isnt being flashbanged with light to yknow the place that brags about its connection to the light. he's having a hard time with sitting and laying down due to the wings and he can't be super overt about it like at Hal's place. he can't really do some things himself without causing certain amount of suspicion.

however, nesting is some of the worst. he's constantly close to Tyranny and cannot be pried from her side while sleeping. he has (very carefully) placed items from the others in a way that wouldn't seem odd, Tyranny has smuggled in some things for him, and he's been able to subtly ask for items from his own family to try and help satiate that want. he loves Tyranny, and usually she's enough to help with it, but there's a craving for more.

at one point, he breaks down crying because he wants to go to his usual nest and he feels so bad for doing so. everything just sucks, both emotionally and physically.

he's just having a terrible time and is near constantly moody around everyone except for Tyranny, who gets this dimmed down moodiness and an incredibly clingy state because his instincts count her as a safe person. she finds that when she can get him to have some quiet time (still in the Aurora because getting that quiet time was hard enough) just getting him to indulge in his new hobbies while she grooms him (he isn't completely staying up to his usual standards) works a little.

but im also here to give him comfort because im a sucker for that.

the day he's actually able to leave for some time is a fuckin relief to all of them. Azune's been getting slightly antsy too (protection instincts). Wick is barely in the door when he just starts crying and Tyranny is frantically trying to explain everything while he's just turning into a puddle. Hal sends her to the theatre to chew on the scenery a little for fun (not literally) since Shadia is there (and honestly, vibe wise Tyranny feels like she'd share in that like of acting plus, her kinda feeling out what it's like to be the hero of the story) and she knows hiding spots in case the Creed comes by, tells her that she's free to collapse in a guest room if she wants because it's also been a bit of a toll on her as well.

Wick is basically a physical mess by then by his standards. His hair is just barely brushed, he hasn't properly washed his face in days, there are developing eye bags. he's had food and sleep issues, but all that is dampened by such heavy relief.

Hal very lovingly unbinds his wings, which haven't been out of them except for brief, brief times and aren't doing too well. they're not completely clean, there are broken feathers, and there's bruises on his skin. a bath is already running, and he's stripped out of his Creed garb. he protests at being taken away from Hal's side, but he's eager to have people his mind deems as safe help remove those broken feathers, gently clean the portions of his feathers that remained and the patches of irritated skin on both his wings and back. it's not a one person job. he melts into the hands that hold onto his face and repeatedly wash his skin and flake away dead skin. his hair is being combed, product put in and his nails are being trimmed, and it's a full on care session. his tattoos tended to be a bit sensitive skin wise (look blood being injected into you is no doubt gonna cause some slight issues) and are being very gently tended to. Wick is a person with like a 30 step shower and skin routine, and it's all being taken care of without him needing to lift a finger.

he's put into that fluffy white robe gifted by Azune, and his wings straight up refuse to close, overly happy to not be bound anymore. it's so nicely warm and a gift from somebody he loves and he's basically limp and pliant in their arms. he's been so wound up and his emotions have been such a heavy mess that his body has been into overdrive for days, and just,,,, not having to be makes his mind feel all floaty and all that's left is him being tired and hungry and oh so incredibly needy.

he's carried over to his nest, and he's crying from happiness and he's placed with all those little items and clothing and has more things to add (Azune may not know much about Lioran, but Wick holds a small handmade bracelet and he gets it. he'll get a little leather cord for it soon enough, but for now it's on a nightstand where there's no chance it'll get ruined.) Wick gets handfed small bits of cheese and fruit and berries that he is so willing to eat now. he ends up being the little spoon alongside Occtis (it's not their fault so he's small enough to be perfect for it) between a protective Azune who runs hot and holds him tightly, Hal with that soft smile and running his fingers through Wick's wet hair and giving that touch that Wick has been so desperate for, and Julien who is overly happy to call them all his little names as Wick dozes off, finally in his nest and warm and happy and safe and his wings over all of them.

(he's still in that needy state for a good few days after, and again there's that cycle of people going in and out to make sure there's somebody with him at all times. like Teor is big and fluffy and perfect to cuddle with, Tyranny and him are still kinda like bonded cats and use the little features of their heritage to get comfortable, he is so happy to be able to freely talk with some of the others while doing his hobbies. Wulferic and Pincushion have been found curled on him. so has Thimble in his hair or wings while he slept.)

It becomes understood that if something goes missing and can’t be found, it’s probably in the nest. You have to trade something to get it back. (A kiss is usually enough.) and there are no guarantees it won’t make it back into the nest the next time it’s left out.

At one point Julien declares ownership of the nest on the grounds that its 75% his stuff anyway. Wick explains that if it’s on the ground it belongs to the light. (Something he was told to make him put his toys away as a small child.) Azune says he’ll fight him for it.

First, that is 100 percent something Iris would have said I can hear Brennan's voice there.

Also, Julien would happily give either of them kisses under any other circumstances. He would be delighted by the number of kisses it would take to retrieve his belonging. Hell he would up the ante and make it blowjobs and think himself lucky. It's just the principle of the thing.

Yknow in cartoons when a bully puts a “kick me” sign on the back of some nerd? Imagine something like that except someone puts a “kiss me” sign on Wick’s back and he’s too dense to notice all day.

He doesn’t notice anything at first, but after a few hours of his boyfriends giving him a smooch Every Single Time they walk past him, he starts to think that maaayyyybe something’s up (or maybe he’s just looking especially good today, who’s to say)
