'Pure Imagination'
This has always been one of my favourite songs since I was a little sprout, cross-legged in front of the old (best) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
My boyfriend and I spent last Summer travelling around Europe; he is a fantastic photographer and creative film-maker - Zachary Hock, check him out - and we made little clips in loads of different locations including: Ireland, Barcelona, Glasgow, Somerset and South of France.

Oh, hey. You're still here? Well I guess the first thing to say is, "welcome back". No, I know you didn't leave. I just, it's nice to see you again. We haven't had a chat in a while. You've known nothing of my life for the past 40 days. I could have built an ark in that time. Or taken up Chinese Checkers as an extreme sport. Whatever it could have been, it was not travel. In fact my life came to a complete stop as it returned to the "normal". Over time momentum returned and I realized that normal can be just as interesting whether I'm traveling the world or I haven't left my bed. I think I'm going to take my time as we start this next book in my series but we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Epiblogue.
Over the course of 20 weeks I managed to take a little over 22,000 pictures/videos. I narrowed that down to 3,921 photos and 3,589 video clips. The best clips were all put into weekly reviews and I even had time to make a music video along the way. I've made 967 posts on here, all organized by tags that way if you want to see a certain place in the itinerary it's all there as well as some other tags like food, accommodations, nightlife, etc. And honestly, I have to say it's been exhausting. Trying to strike a balance between blogging and experiencing things to blog about is not easy. This blog has been the most rewarding hassle I've ever place upon myself.
I'm back home now and everything is seemingly returning to normal. Just as normal as when I'd left, it feels like nothing's changed here and that's both comforting and terrifying. Many people say we go through chapters in life but I think I've managed enough chapters in the past twenty weeks to constitute a book. This is the first book in a series of many to come. Although the biggest trip I've ever planned is over, The Adventures of Yachary Yock are only just beginning. I'm going to be taking a little break as I prepare for my next book: Stepping into Life and Ordering Better Sandwiches Along the Way. In the next chapter you'll find Rosie and Patsy coming over for Christmas, ongoing adventures with Eric, catching up with old friends and missing all of my new ones, panic as the future becomes the past and maybe even a BLT or a Meatball Sub slipped between the pages of figuring out what I want to do with my life.
Until my next book,
-Yachary Yock (Zachary Hock)
