This is just from my perspective as a tall reader.
While sometimes it's nice to entertain the thought that a character is a little taller than us, it should also be known that it's okay for a reader/oc to be taller than a character. When things are written to make us still feel sexy and desirable and lovable even if we are taller, it makes us feel so confident and valid. That's an important feeling for everyone to have.

My problem is finally told to me...
So I have been asking people why no one ever wants to talk to me or introduce them selves... they all told me problem is that I'm tall, intimidating, and have resting bitch face of the male variety. I apparently scare people just by sitting there. If people got to know me they might find a nice guy who is funny, loves animals, and is a huge nerd. It's not my fault I'm 6'6" and look like I could eat a small family of wildebeest in one sitting and have room for desert.
It's impossible to find pants in my size, it's driving me crazy.
